Rahul ,Tejas , Jab tum sasural jaoge kya tum miss karoge was replaced by death. And I dont think that was a good idea by writers to speak of death as to achieve something from the other person .Its his birthday date speak something positive .( If you dont love me , I will give my life type things I hate so much ).

And like I wrote before I felt it was rushed episode to show leads together and fetch trp after all the useless family conference.

The usual attachment between them in a normal taunt session was lacking for me .

May be I expected too much as I saw the BTS and so felt plain or different.

It was definitely a good episode , but not best for me .

Moral : No more BTS for me 😜

Not gonna see man. I feel too much BTS spoils excitement. But I think she did if I remember what you are talking about, even if it was in fear of thunder.

Only when too much anxiety hits I watch them .

True, I think BTS hyped up the expectations so much people wanted something and got something else, felt disappointed and all this talk.

I have heard older people in my household talk about death, in a by the by, casual kind of a way.

I attributed it to them being old ! Sometimes probably also aged people in my previous generation.

But never heard of it from people in my generation.

Now why a forward thinking, level headed 27/28 year old would ask J to swear on his life or talk about death - the possible plausible explanation is that this is just his ploy - he uses "mera umar kum ho jayega" to extract info from J , on why she is sad. He says it pretty casually because he does not believe that uttering this on his bday or any other day would really decrease his umar.

Also, he might have been victim to such a ploy/s from his grand parents, during his growing up years. "Mera mara huya muh dekhogi" although a sinister ploy, was predominant in yesteryears.

She is sad when she hears how much the day after the wedding and the time they spent together means to Ani. She gets to know that he cherishes every minute detail of that time. It makes her sad because she cherishes those memories equally. She has let her guard down and shown her sadness to Ani. He caught that there is something off, "kuchh toh huya hai Jhanak , batao mujhe, agar nehi batayi toh mera umar kum ho jayega".

He knows J will not reveal why she is sad, so there goes the threat ! Ani babu toh waise hi supreme kurbaani dene taiyar baithe hai toh aise threats se unhe kya hi fikar! Unhe bbas J ki sadness ka wajhah janna hai ! By hook or by crook !

His methods are not always ideal as he is result-driven ! Ghee sidhi tarike se na nikle toh ungli tedi kardo!

Plus there is foreshadowing - when push comes to shove, J will fight for Ani to protect him, if she is convinced that some harm will befall him !

Red- I have my thoughts on this. Writing that. But there are some people who do talk like that. Maybe you might not like it, but some people don't find an issue talking that way. Jhanak might've hugged Ani as she is flinching whenever she hears thunder. But I don't think they'll show any sort of romance apart from the accidental/fear induced hug.

I think makers are confused as they've to show proximity among leads for TRP but they also don't want to spoil Ani's character arc. Its high time makers realize they can't have the cake and eat it too
