Agastya wasn't perfect. He was as flawed as a ML in the beginning, as any..He used to get gaslighted very easily by his family initially.. Infact he did hurt Imlie not once, not twice but many many times.. If you watch especially the initial episodes, he used to judge her upbringing, her character, her intent, everything..

But what changed, that we fell in love with him so dearly, that it's tough to forget about him, even after almost 3 months have passed:

1. Everytime he hurt Imlie, he cried too..

2. He had an amazing redemption arc where he became most trusting, especially during the Vishwa kidnap sequence..

3. The chemistry and angst was fiery.. and it served

4. The untimely death

I am very much of the opinion, that if Auggy hadn't had that death scene written so early on, we wouldn't have appreciated him to this extent.. to this date..

That death, and the infinite possibilities, which he left behind, made us appreciate him much more, than if he had still been alive...

But Agasthya had failoed a lot of raita. He never really stood up for Imlie in front of the family. We all have given him gaalis. His untimely death and the lost opportunity with respect to the jodi is what turned the tables.

I am sure he too misses the molly coddling of dadi Amma and the " gattu" endearment. chahe kitna bhi family drama ho Chaudhary family mein his character used to get importance. Ab reddys mein yeh Tayi Amma Sirf dimaag khati hai sabka. Bas naam ke liye pyaar dikhate hai Surya ko . No puchkarna no laad pyaar.
