Not really. I was never a hobbies kid or adult. I am learning cooking now and do find it relaxing, as long as I don’t burn anything
I am one of those people who wants to learn everything, try everything creative that I can.
Travelling and Sports was a No No.. those things didn't interest me.
So things I enjoyed, note we didn't have internet back in the day..
So listening to music, reading fictional and non fictional and text books, Art, dancing, knitting, needlework, TV, Makeup for sure... Creative writing, I am inspired by Shakespeare and that era in language so I mostly enjoy dramatic style writing or very formal but in the correct platforms or situations. Rest of the time I am very casual so it makes me more approachable.
I always wanted learn floristry, but that's not happened still. Oh and going to bookshops and the library and shopping.
Driving....well over time it became less enjoyable amd more like got go get from A to B.. so.
Things I do, still the same stuff.
But Art, Creative Writing has become a 2nd profession.
Everything is therapeutic.. but painting prolly the most.
If I wasn’t watching a horror film as a kid then I’d be playing with my barbies ☺️
I loved playing tag as a kid. I think that was my most favorite thing. I also liked doing my homework. Lmao like legit couldn't wait to go home so I could do my homework assignment
Now the hobbies I have which I consider therapeutic are reading, journaling, and working out. All of those make me feel better when I'm in a bad head space. There are more things but I think those three make me feel the bestttt.
During childhood - tv
Now - mobile 😭
Now: phone to show us amazing nature pictures and also scenes that defy science/logic/any form of thinking in indian shows
My very first hobby was collecting perfume bottles. I found them really pretty. I may have had almost two dozen. Then, one day, my grandmother threw them away because they were too much clutter.
As a teenager, I collected stamps. I still have my stamp books. Maybe they will be worth something when I am old and frail.
I also attempted painting as a teen. That was a disaster.
I have always loved Lego and building blocks. I could never get bored of building something. I picked up Lego again to pass the time on weekends. It's the most relaxing and fun.
During the pandemic, I baked sourdough. I was really fantastic at it. I easily made my own sourdough recipes and mixins—jalapeno cheddar, mocha, pumpkin spice, caraway rye, onion and rye, and more. Now that everything has opened again, I do not have the discipline for it. It can be a two-day process, and then the starter is like having another pet that needs to be fed and cared for daily.
I love writing. I used to blog a lot. But then I quit blogging because, with work and other priorities, I wasn't able to find time. I really miss it.
