I also thought the same, that hug especially that dialogue is to fool viewers & abhira. If we look at the track record of this show, whatever armaan says ulta happen.

N I think if at all, abhira gets to know about soulmates in this track, it will be through ruhi, she might reveal her version to abhira where they both are still in love, & udhar armaan ka trust ka tukda tukda hoga.

Also I believe charu ka issue is not random, it's for us & ruhi armaan to see what will be dadi's reaction when things are hidden from her & when she suspects of having an affair. ruhi being ruhi might reveal it to abhira so that she can support soulmates, just like she supported charu today. Ruhi had already mentioned it to armaan once, that abhira will support them once she gets to know the truth, she might try it again.
