Ajay has had a clean hit in every genre, every genre including the hard to get a hit horror genre (Bhoot).

The box office is a weird situation, in a sense movies you expect to do well, sometimes don't looking at Fighter and movies that none expect to do well like ZBZH etc

Box office matter, but when you chase the box office you limit yourself. Ajay doesnt sit there and cry, I should only do masala or action movies because that is what working, no he sits there and does a Raid, does a Golmaal, does a Drishyam, does a Tanhaji, does a De De Pyaar De. Some are hits, some are flops but he does not put himself in a box.

SRK limited himself to romance genre, when it was a phased out it took him another decade to get a clean hit.

I didn’t watch dunki so I don’t know why it has mixed reviews but after giving two blockbusters in the same year if people have issues in accepting SRK’s stardom then Hrithik is still ok as his film isn’t even a hit

The forum is weird and funny, some people said jingoism crap ruined HR goodwill in overseas but guess what Fighter is a blockbuster in overseas without a release in gulf, kuch bhi bolte hai yaha, a movie like animal beings blockbuster is an example why maybe movies like fighter didn’t work, the movie is just about human emotions without violence. I believe dunki is the same too

One good thing about Fighter I loved was their Pakistani fighter pilot Res nose was equally capable in the movie and the action looked awesome with the banters between Sham and Red nose in the air

Also there’s no jingoism except those 2 monologue from Hrithik and that too it was in character given the people died.

I agree with everything you said but my post was in response to what he was saying. If he finds the stardom burdensome, how difficult is it to walk away from it?

Also the Pakistanis should get over the Indian movies and stop focusing on their own crappy garbage movies that spew venom about India, for ex watch the latest Yamna Zaidi’s Nayaab trailer. While the Indian movies clearly differentiate between the citizens and the government/army, their movies make direct attacks on Hinduism and the Indians.Anyway their country doesn’t even want them to watch the Indian movies. Plus, it may be hard to grasp but Indian movies are predominantly made for the Indians.

Ajay has his own position in the filmindustry and he has earned it!

To me, they all do acting work...I'm not really one to think in those categories ... and comparisons...each actor also is an idividual, so I look at their work as done by an individual.
