"Mein" (ARY Digital) - Ayeza Khan, Wahaj Ali #4 [DT Note Pg 132] - Page 109

Basically those fans who got tricked into watching this masterpiece because of Ayeza and Wahaj:

I don’t think Wahaj has ever played a character he’s not being able to sell as the hero. He’s played shades of grey before but the shade Zaid gets has never happened with Wahaj’s roles before. I think he is playing the character well but the reason it’s not resonating with the audience is because he’s not a focus in the script - we never get inside his head - even though the potential of such a character is so much. It could never been so much.

he’s played characters before who have been weak, violent, toxic, disloyal, problematic but for most of them they were written really well. He was a focus despite the type of character he’s playing. You can’t really blame the actor when there’s not many scenes to begin with or meaningful scenes. There’s no substance for us to understand Zaid. He’s as good of a character as kashmala right now. So it’s not the way he’s playing it, or the dressing, or lack of chemistry. It’s just that Zaid is not well written.

At the very least wahaj had the early episode script - zaid doesn’t have a huge role in the earlier episodes. He should have put his foot down then and there 😭

I’m afraid we might never get to see an impactful zaid scene after all. He’s just going to not do much when but do right by Ayra and once again we will never get inside his head. Despite him having the most conflicting emotions next week. His dad, sister and brother in law against his wife ! So much scope to perform if he has a good scene ! But will he get it? Doubtful 🤦🏻‍♀️

I don’t care what type of role Wahaj does next. I just want him to read the damn script and check how much screen time he will have and how many good scenes. And if his character is fleshed out and has scope to perform.

Given that every character is either dealing with mommy/daddy issues or drowning in grief, a visit to the therapist could benefit them all! I am leaning towards these 3 main characters giving each other a farewell smooch and going their separate ways.

Come to think of it, these 3 characters aren't ur usual heroes/heroines u'd find in today's dramas. They're not very likable n we r just witnessing their messy lives unfold without a clear message. Sometimes it's just about summing up their complex journey without needing to find a specific msg. ** Zanjabeel developed interesting characters but lost her way in the plot I think, it could've still been salvaged with a good director but alas.

***There's this fantastic film -Super Deluxe on Netflix, it delves into the lives of some morally complex characters who all come so close to being punished but they all get away with happy endings. There's no message ,no moral yet it hits hard!

No. I mean apparently they deleted comments who were calling them out bcz they asked for feedback on Zaid & MJ but there was no Zaid & MJ in the epi.

ARY can never win with this show because on one hand they’re not doing justice to Zaid MJ and they’ll always get dragged for it. Secondly the whole show is about Ayra now so audience cares about her and wants zaid to do the right thing.

the only way forward is for Ayra to realise she deserves better and to divorce Zaid and he can go back to MJ 🤷‍♀️ He’s pretty much useless and miserable at the moment anyway. And then Ayra and Bhabhi can finally go on some world tour together and leave this mess of a family behind lol. The End.
