I watched Dunki last night and couldn’t stop thinking and comparing it with Maa, kept thinking throughout the movie ye Tapsee Anupamaa hai who is obsessed with UK, she used SRK like Maa used Anoooj😂

What’s the obsession with going abroad and working as a maid or cab driver or even lower jobs than that I don’t understand and that too if one goes legally and due to circumstances it’s fine but being obsessed about it and treating it as a life and death situation, living illegally like Maa, kyon bhai aapko apni country mein free mein khane aur pani ke liye nachna and safai nahi karni padegi, you will get atleast food and water aur kahin nahi to Gurudwara jaake Langar hi kha le.

Pehle abroad jaane ki zidd aur pohochte hi apne desh wapas jaane ka rona. These people think it’s a joke.

Maa didn’t even feel the need to reach out to Devika again and tell her about the entire incident that happened, she is chilled out, giving bhashans after bhashans and busy chamkaoing bartans in the restaurant.

This Udaan track is utter failure by the looks of it, just a lollipop to get back Maa and Puppy together again after obviously lot of hardships.

Yaar Aaj Daya bhi aayi ispe jab waiter ne kaha itne paiso mein khana nahi i really feel pity at that time but waiter brings her food ok.

I can't even with this woman. She started off her woman vs machine rant yet again. Dishwashers aren't installed in hotels for show off. They are used to save time!!

And hotel dishwashers are industrial grade high power machines with more capacity than home dishwashers.

Imagine customers waiting for their order at the restaurant while maataji is busy gently scrubbing the pans while also admiring her face on them.

Exactly! While people still debating on why Aadya has not yet been taken away from AK, there are so many legal messes made here.

Though I didn't love Dunki much as they put all the blame on the Visa process and colonialism made the donkeys the victims instead of focusing on trying to get a job in India or atleast giving them a genuine reason like persecution or wanting to escape prison. The donkey flight process is too life threatening to be done just for money. But atleast they managed to pay all their loans by earning in pounds before they came back for good.

But what's shown here is hilariously stupid just to allow MAA to play victim card.

If MAA has a legit work permit and passport, she should voluntarily go to the police and they will not only take her to the embassy to get a duplicate passport but also feed her. She doesn't have to hide in the shadows like the donkeys. But all she is showing is that American police is too brutal and scary to even ask for genuine help.

Is it USA or Nicaragua? How will you manage hiding all the time madam?

MAA will not stop ranting about how great India is and yet she chose to work in Umrika while maintaining a stand that she doesn't want to beg. Well after abandoning major business ventures like Anuj's restaurant set-up or MD's gurukul, I doubt she will find anyone willing to take a risk with her after knowing her identity and history, unless he has been in love with her for 26 years. No wonder she used the alias Joshi Ben and hid her face for her channel.

Yes, a single man cannot adopt a girl child.

When Anuj-Anupama took in Choti Anu they were a married couple and well within their right to adopt a girl child. There will still be a custody battle, if Anuj and Anupama divorced, which in this case, Anuj seems to have won.

There is a difference between Fostering and Adoption in terms of the responsibilities and rights of the foster parents. In India, in many cases, fostering over a period of time could lead to legal adoption and 3 years is a decent time.

If the argument is about Fostering v/s Adoption of Choti Anu, on both cases as of now, Anuj is well within his right to continue being a parent to Choti Anu aka Aadhya.

The makers, as in most cases, do not wish to clarify any of these through correct portrayal. Frankly, in this case, it's is not even a point of contention. Larger and more sensitive issues have been brushed aside and real culprits whitewashed.
