Soni Razdan has a Uk passport but she is always very actively commenting on India and its politics.

She got her daughters also British citizenship even though Shaheen and Alia are born, brought up, living and working in India.

That shows how deeply classism is rooted in her.

She lives here, pays taxes here. The politics impacts her quality of life as well. What does it have to with her passport? It's like saying NRIs shouldn't care about the politics of the place which directly impacts them because of passport.

She ia extremely privileged to have a European passport because it has its massive perks but what does it have to do with politics?

Did I read it correct? Soni expected her KIDS to earn enough to travel in business class?smiley24

I'm sorry but that was very selfish of her to leave her kids behind like that. She could have travelled economy with them and be there with them, instead of leaving them alone.

I feel the pain....economy is torture, especially on a long haul flight. But what do kids know & they have enough leg room. Small sacrifices!

How her daughters got UK passport if both born in India? Does one parent being UK national gives automatic right to their child even if born elsewhere?

So will Raha too have UK citizenship in future?

I'm quite sure that is the reason behind her buying economy for the kids, since airlines often upgrade economy tickets to first class for celebs/known faces. It was probably the one time the first class seats were not available and she had to cry over an old woman reclining her seat boo hoo

Alia being born in India to Indian father would have gotten her Indian citizenship instantly.

Since, Soni has a British passport her children are eligible to get it on that account. So Soni or mahesh would have opted British over Indian . Coz Alia has been born, educated completely in India itself and not spent any long periods of time in Britain.

India doesn’t allow for dual citizenship. Either you are Indian or not. That’s why Alia can’t even vote in India.

But for most of these celebs having a British passport is like having a badge of honour. Also having a British passport is easier for visa in many countries.
