Yes, the Shahs were really ungrateful to her. I understand that but she is the one who allowed them to do so.

Also, she wanted to keep Barkha, Malti and everyone else with her, she got gifts from them too.

This is what happens when you don't set proper boundaries in your relationships and cannot manage your time well.

Anupama dedicated way too much time to the Shahs making Anuj and CA feel neglected. Which in turn allows people like Barkha and MD to manipulate them (it's more like showing them the mirror because Anupama is very biased)

And of course the culmination is neither of the families wanting her presence in their lives anymore. If she had visited the Shahs in moderation. Paid more attention to the newly adopted CA and her new marriage. Not been a dumbo opening her house doors for every Tom, Dick and Harry then she would have been leading a happy life right now
