Ofcourse!

But the question is isn't about wishes or desires of deactivating. It's more about the psychology behind it and there are plenty of reasons for it. It's not something personal where anyone has to answer about themselves or their deactivation is not in question. It's just about gathering a more in depth insight, because I cannot personally relate to the concept of hibernation myself.

Sometimes there are underlying issues that push people to make the choice.. such as social pressure, time consumption, anxiety, online addiction, intimidation or bullying. It doesn't necessarily apply to IF only. Just looking for common reasons.

@bold, I agree. And this is why reason number 1 really annoyed me, when people judge those who work hard and make posts to entertain others.

I'm not judgemental towards people who do it for attention seeking. Somewhere these guys need the attention for whatever reasons. It's to bring in light that in the long run, this will not help them. I prefer not to sugarcoat things, it's a reality and a sad one. They leave with the hopes of being missed, but after a while people become used to their absence and it will only make them feel.more rejected later. Those people later lose the confidence I'm social contact.

Thank you. 👋 Hi5.

I was watching The Archies, which is set back in time, well before social media. The simplicity of life, no added social media pressures or problems.

It got me thinking, how people sometimes need to get away from it. Then I made this topic.

Yes, can you believe it! When someone told me this, I wanted either pull my hair out or theirs. smiley37

But even in their hibernation you can count on it they will know more about what's happening on the forum than anyone.

I think now I wanna try this 'elite' kind of hibernation. smiley36
