I am disappointed with the way the trailer is cut, but at least they are not giving the entire story, so that is a good thing.

Just watched the trailer, it looks cool and promising!
Great cinematography and great visuals especially the chase while crossing the border kinda gave me goosebumps!
Looks like they were forced to leave their own homeland/country for some reason. In past 2-3 years in news I saw many people forced to leave/run away from their own country during wars between the countries like in Ukraine-Russia war I saw in images how Ukraine people had to run away from their own country to save their lives from Russian attacks or I saw in images how Afghanisthan people tried to run away from their own country when Talibans started ruling again... For that matter we all saw at least in images how many millions and millions of people got displaced or killed on either sides of border during partition of old india..
Most of us never faced this situation, even imagining in their place makes me feel scary and unsettled.
I'm not sure what is the reason or premise they are going to show here in this movie about why they were forced to leave their country.. Overall looks like it is going to be an emotional drama +Family entertainer.
I think immigrants feel more connected to this movie than regular ones.
As I predicted it is going to make 1000 crores minimum at box-office!
Was it some riots effect they left

Thanks for keeping this thread, too...although it is strange to have now two trailer threads...
SRK was clever in posting one hour earlier the trailer I came to know late as rumor time was 11 am IST
In this movie? Even I'm not sure what kind of premise or reason they are going to show here in the movie.
Waise many reasons they can show. Sometimes I feel like running away from the country too for various reasons.
Des Pardes (1978, Dev Annand)...Wikipedia-plot tells me that Dunki is in no way a remake...
After your comment I checked out initial bits of trailer again, it was shown as 1995 year, I'm not sure if any riots happened around that year, My history or political knowledge is poor.
i liked it
cant wait
