Is it time for my annual essay on why Tamasha’s two halves have potential to be two individual classics but as a whole end up as complete mess to the point where it looks like a parody of Imtiaz's entire career?

I watched this movie in theaters and actually liked it a lot

Tamasha's intriguing premise had potential, but its execution fell short.

I think that sums it up.

Performances of both Deepika and Ranbir were amazing.

It had potential to tell a good story but ended up being a mere snooze fest. One of the few movies where I was literally dozing off every second scene. 😅

It flopped and they had success party

In BAH..RK travelled the world to undo the wrong he had done to his ex girlfriends to win the girl.In YJHD RK gave up his dreams..because she didn't want to leave her medical practise.It was the same with Saif in Imtiaz's LAK.Deepik's character wanted to be in India.

In Tamasha..public felt that Deepika could have done much better.So the film flopped.
