I’m baffled with why Ashiq chose gazpacho, he’s very brave. I wouldn’t be able to make a dessert with those ingredients. Yet, just because of his quantity of tomato jam he didn’t win. Otherwise he was a clear winner.
Nidhi chose the simplest ingredients, and made a very basic dish. Strangely nobody commented on the presentation or texture of her panacotta. The presentation was poor and texture I don’t know. But if it was good they would’ve commented.
Prachi chose panipuri ka pani. Making a sorbet is the easiest thing that comes to mind, but too easy for Masterchef. Her concept wasn’t bad that she wanted to give the feel of eating a panipuri, but the sorbet I think let her down.
Harry - he got khus syrup, not a bad item. But he made something like a jelly. Again just adding agar agar to set something is easy. Was that the challenge? Im glad he won, because otherwise he’d have been eliminated.
Shubhojit - his drink would’ve been my choice. With nuts and green tea there’s a lot one can do. I liked what he made, sadly the flavours weren’t spot on. I somehow feel that he chooses the most difficult things to make to prove his prowess. Is it a good idea always? I don’t think so.
Ashiq - his thinking is amazing. I would’ve never thought of or been able to make something like that. And to top it, it was pretty good. And he isn’t even a dessert person. Maybe he could’ve incorporated a thick layer of tomato jam in the centre of the cake, because a gazpacho is mainly tomatoes.
The judges kept specifying the Nidhi has tasted pinacolada for the first time, I’m sure Ashiq had never tasted gazpacho before that either. But everything is a big deal only for Nidhi.
Im glad, Nidhi was t saved and also in the group task her group wasn’t saved.
As long as Ashiq is safe tomorrow, I’m happy. Prachi does seem most likely to go.
