Actually it depends on contestants. BB can push whatever it wants, it doesn't work if contestants aren't cut out for it.
Last year BB tried its BEST to push Nimrit so that she can shine. Wanted that two top heroines to fight but Nimrit was just 
After a point all they wanted to do was ruin Priyanka's game, so the MC win, mandali favoritism would be justified, but it didn't go their way.
Rn it's just the beginning, not even a week. Let things simmer for a while, then the personalities will come out.

I agree with you. But in Nimrit's case , she didn't have the fan following. And mostly BB keeps the mix of content givers and fan following Wale people.. In this season, apart from these four, I don't see anyone having the fan following or even content, they aren't even trying to play - Abhishek is giving but he is negative. Khanzaadi is the only one who I can see shining but she still needs time to build a proper fan base. Let's see. I don't think even the two wild cards are that good. Two weeks are more than enough to build a proper fan base and shine until and unless someone really does something out of the box- which is very rare.
The problem with KZ is that she is trying those ghise pite purane formulaes, faltu fights for content, lone warrior card, chillam chilli etc. it has gotten exhausted now. BB is using her for content and would milk it for as long as they need it, but aise mein fan base build hona mushkil hota hai, she is trying to be like Mandana here, Mandana was authentic that’s why people liked her, KZ entertain karti hai thoda but she needs to stop playing “Mai akeli hu” type victim card, then she can shine, fights ko unnecessarily stretch karke kya hi ho jaega.Originally posted by: Renee.Clare

I don't think before BB16 anyone actually realised, just how much SM following matters in a game where voting is done online. It was not predictable. I think everyone was sure Priyanka was winning, but any TV star is no match for a SM person backed by everyone on their platform/ or the entire political support. It also became political as Shiv was backed by strong maharashtrian sentimental politicians, same happened in BB OTT.
