There are some weird popups for example 'simply ribbon enquiry form', asking me for my phone number, email and postcode. Someone underage or without knowledge can easily fall for this.

Screenshots of tweets/posts in a message are fine but, otherwise, either discourage or disallow messages that have links to tweets/posts made on X. You don't want people leaving your site to go to other social media sites; you would want to funnel traffic from other social media sites to your website. You would want social media users to talk about content posted on IF, not the other way around.
You may have to find a couple of social media influencers and make them share online "what India Forums users are saying on popular shows and latest movie releases". Reviews of shows and movies made by IF users is valuable content and can/should be monetized. The content on these forums is your product! Yes, it may involve paying the influencersto get the word out but you can't make money without spending money. Good luck!

I don't think so.
A. If they are members, they should show up in members count, not followers.
B. Followers having access or being members of to forums with invite only/ request access permission type makes the permission type pointless.
I think for private forum with invite only/ request access permission type the follow button doesn't make sense.
I don't see any member count. I only see followers so I thought it's the same thing.
Could the "Recommended Topics" feature be tweaked so that it won't waste space linking to "Removed Content Vault" topics?
Hi Vijay,
Why can't "Members only" type of posts be quoted? Can you look into this?
Hi,Thank you for reaching out with your concerns. We understand the significance of post counts for our members, as they reflect your contributions and engagement within our community. Let me provide some insight into why we've chosen to reflect the post count based on actuals:
- Integrity and Transparency: It's essential for us to maintain the integrity of our forum's statistics. When post counts are based on actual, valid posts, it provides a clear and accurate representation of a member's participation.
- Quality over Quantity: Our forum values meaningful contributions over sheer volume. By ensuring that post counts are based on actual, constructive posts, we're promoting a culture where quality is prioritized over quantity.
- Consistency: Applying a uniform policy where post counts reflect actual contributions ensures that all members are treated equally and fairly, regardless of their tenure or status.
- Performance and Maintenance: Regularly clearing out "+1" posts and other non-contributive content helps improve the overall performance of our forum, making it a better experience for everyone. By adjusting post counts to match, we ensure that our metrics align with this maintenance.
We recognize the pride and status associated with post counts, and we assure you that our intention is not to diminish your contributions. Instead, our goal is to create a platform where every post adds value and where metrics reflect genuine engagement. We genuinely appreciate your understanding and continued participation in our community.
Regards,
Hi, even my posts were deleted but only a few posts so that wasn't an issue but why are my comments getting deleted? I think 7 of my comments got deleted and it wasn't even a one word comment , most of my comments are in paragraphs , so why were they deleted?
I would like to receive a notification whenever someone creates a new topic in one of my favourite forums. Not just vijay, anyone.
Today, I got a notification that someone (https://www.indiaforums.com/user/1272751) joined my private forum, but not that the person created a topic (URL Not Available).
It was only spam this time, but next time I could miss an interesting topic because following (creating) this private forum doesn't bring me new topic notifications.

I just got a notification that "vijay created a topic in your favourite forum. All things Korean"
I never got such notifications whenever someone created a topic even 1 or 2 months ago in "Mahabharat Katha" or "Zee Bangla" which are also on my Favorites - Forums tab.
I didn't get notifications of the topics that I myself created in The Writers' Club over the past few weeks.
I hope there is no glitch of notifications not working for specific private forums.
If followed forum new topic notifications are a new feature, I find it very useful. Surely it will stimulate activity in private forums.
So far today, there have been two members joining my private forum just to post spam topics.
https://www.indiaforums.com/user/1272751 also joined Koeli's Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan S5 forum.
https://www.indiaforums.com/user/1274324 also joined mishkil88's Financial Markets and Global Economy forum.
Are any other private forums experiencing the same flare-up of spam?
Sorry if it was already raised and answered.
Can we have an option to create separate groups in the "Tag Buddies" list?
It will be useful in sports threads, forum games threads, fanfiction threads and forum contest threads.
Cheers..

Your idea would actually make the Friends/Buddies feature useful.
Right now, the Buddy List just allows profile visitors to judge a member by the company s/he keeps. I don't want anyone to get the idea that I'll be complicit in wrongdoing or take sides in a fight. So, I've never accepted a Friend Request.
I never have a problem finding all of the people that are active in topics related to what I'm posting/messaging. However, I could try out the Friends/Buddies feature for this purpose if it had a more neutral name like Contacts and my Contact Request would tell the member exactly which group s/he is joining, e.g. Saṃskṛta Text Discussion Forum Contacts, Fan Fiction Library contacts ...
