Book recommendation

Hey all..

Pls share book recommendation for a teenage girl..14-15 yrs.non romance

I suggest Animal Farm from the great recommendations of literature maverick Shilpa Shetty. It will teach her to learn and care for animals.

No but seriously, Animal Farm, Little Women, LOTR (abridged versions), The Hobbit, or any books from Agatha Christie are a great read that are not romance.

The Hunger Games series - dystopian fantasy fiction with a teenage female protagonist

Speak - trigger warning the book deals with rape and sexual trauma, but a must-read for teenage girls. The movie is one of Kristen Stewart's finest.

His Dark Materials series - another renowned fantasy fiction with a female protagonist

The Perks of being a Wallflower - teenage coming of age story

Go Ask Alice - extremely popular and equally controversial coming of age story of a troubled teen

Princess Diaries - some fun and fluff

Wicked - maybe a bit mature for teens, but a nice twist on retelling a classic

Oh, I also enjoy anything by Becky Albertalli (Simon/Creekwood Series), Rainbow Rowell (Fangirl/Simon Snow), Malinda Lo (Ash/Huntress), and Melissa Bashardoust (Girls made of snow and glass).

Won't help when mom's particular about what kiddo reads.. romance is fine but nuzzling goes beyond that. And don't want to take chances with wrong choice so asked for non romance
