I pretty much agree with you that there are huge punjabi communities..but the people i know that were born there do know punjabi but always have that canadian accent...they speak punjabi but have that accent which is different from Indian people....

baaki i am not living in canada...i have my relatives residing over there...and they have that different accent...

also there are many canadian punjabi youtubers...u will always find that accent...

also boliyan is kinda tough...but if the culture is practiced thoroughly it can be learnt

Forced marriage on cards for Aasma and Armaan. Aliya will force Armaan to marry Aasma to get to Canada. And Aasma (like Tejo) will be blackmailed by her family to marry Armaan. I get Aliya's reason. But why does Aasma's dadi wants her to marry a man's son who tried to kill her dad? Isn't there some sort of enmity going on between Gills and Dhillons?

It seems like Gill and Dillon's enmity stems from a broken marriage alliance ( Deepak and Armaan's Bua) and Dadi will agree to Aasma-Armaan marriage to save their reputation. Also, I feel Dadi doesn't care about Aasma's sentiments or quality of life because she doesn't consider Aasma as her grandchild (Dadi is aware of the reason behind Harleen-Deepak's marriage)

Even though Aliya has been brain washed since childhood I can’t sympathize with the character. Don’t know if the character is written this way or if it is the annoying actress.

I could understand jasmine and her obsession with Canada but here even when Aliya has a strong reason I can’t connect with it.

Aliya is way more selfish and ruthless than jasmine ever was with half the brain.

Aliya looks less like Ekam, Nehmat or even Harleen's child and more like Jasmine's daughter. She's following Jasmine's path to the T. If anything, Jasmine was more innocent than this girl. And Randhawas, especially Nehmat is an idiot. Did they think banishing Harleen from Moga would solve all the problems. Especially in this technologically advanced age. They did not even tell Aliya who her biological mother is in all these years. This idiot Nehmat deserves the hate she gets with her over mahanta. Aasma is going to be the victim of all this. Aliya-Armaan's plotting, Dhillons-Gills conflict and Harleen's actions. Hope she will behave more like her grand aunt Tejo than aunt Nehmat.

agree!! Jasmine had an innocence that Aliya doesn’t have. It is all about her. She keeps crying about herself. Armaan has way too many morals and sense about good and bad to survive with her for long. Even if Aasma doesn’t come between them, they will not last.

I too hope Aasma is like Tejo. Trejo was smart. Nehmat was too mahanta driven to have even use the basic common sense. But right now she is more on nehmat’s path with her desperation to win her so called dadi and family.
