Gud Se Meetha Ishq itself was a remake/adaptation of Jol Nupur.

So I guess it'd be more accurate to say they have come up with another remake of the same serial. However, the storytelling might differ in the future considering GSMI was telecast on Star Bharat and this one is going to air on Star Plus.

But I feel they have taken some cue from GSMI also because in Jol Nupur, Neel was working for a company whereas Neel from GSMI was a photographer. Plus, Kaju in Jol Nupur was a classical dancer whereas Kaju from GSMI was predominantly a tourist guide with inherent talent for dancing.

Here I read the FL would be a dancer and the ML would be a photographer. So I guess they are incorporating particular aspects of both the shows.
