I started watching the show after Kaira for just Abhinav and Akshara. He is the most refreshing character in ITV. The best person who knows how to treat people and help beyond his abilities.

Compared to abhimanyu, he might not be wealthy, not have six pack but he has a big heart which only knows to love and care. Not even a bit of bad blood or negativity. I definitely agree that this is a lead characteristics. Abhinav should have been a parallel lead and not a cameo.

But if makers wanted abhira reunion, I don't know why they made Akshara fall in love with Abhinav. Cause the leads (ML and FL) in previous seasons didn't fall in love with their cameo leads even if they were married.

I don't think the makers wanted this reunion. Yes, they played with both the Fds but the narrative was more towards Akshara, her life, how she deals with the custody as a mother, how her husband stands with her or what abhir is feeling. Imo, they made Manju and Abhimanyu play as the external factors in her life who gave hardships to her. That could be the reason behind giving Abhimanyu some dumb questions/reactions or making him not understand what abhir wants. Because in the marriage track, Manju was literally talking about breaking a happy family. It was more of a vamp kinda thing. I don't know the reason behind this sudden shift. It could be trp or anything. But imo, the writers did invest more in the post leap track keeping the base of Akshara's heart-break and build Akshnav on it.

I have always wondered why I liked this character so much that I got stuck in this show.

He was not a well-written character. But, seeing that no one in the show was well-written, it was not jarring.

unawanderer , You wrote beautifully but I think Abhinav Sharma was a very well written character who always showed consistency in his attitude and behaviour. There was no undesired flipflopping etc. He was very genuine in all his actions. And since he did not exhibit any hypocrisy or erratic behaviour, he was unable to be the reason of drama as is needed in these serials. Still if he was the sole ML he would have been cherished and hailed by all. But here we know that he had to go and make way for the other ML .

Anyways as most of you believe, I too am happy that he was not made to turn negative and his wife and son would not trade him for anything or anyone. And the producer did send him a good farewell (last few episodes). But at the same time because of the beautiful last episodes it has become very painful to watch. But thanks to Hulu they are not uploading the last few episodes either. So it has helped me to detach. I will remember the Navir magic that was created in the last few months.

Yes thats true. But I feel like they glossed over akshnav love confession during that marriage track. Cause before that, they were timid and didn't know how it express that they want to move forward. There was some cute scenes but after marriage, they directly went into custody battle where akshnav were so comfortable with each other. I feel like there was no connection between akshnav before marriage track and after the track.

I think they always had the plan for abhira cause biological family always are favoured and also abhira is "soulmates" based on the story line. If they focused on Akshara, they could have kept Abhinav and extended the troubles she face with her new career. I think the plan for Abhinav was to leave earlier but the trip caused them to keep him and extend till now.

I want to see how long this gen will go. Cause they have exhausted all plot lines throughout the gens that after abhira reunion it will take a leap for next gen. Let's see.

Anyway I will say goodbye to yrkkh after next week. I want to see Akshara confront Abhimanyu and how abhir takes it. Maybe Akshara remember her moments with Abhinav. So just seeing those and alvida to yrkkh AGAIN..
