Well if the distributors are willing to pay so much to gain the rights because of the huge hype around the movie, then why would the producers not sell them? It's just good business sense I believe.

What makes you think these numbers are legit coming from a random south Indian trade analyst that is known to exaggerate boxoffice collections.

The film will have to gross over 450 cr for PEN India to break even on this deal. They're not that dumb. The numbers won't be anywhere close to 209 Cr for Indian Theatrical rights.

The strange way this Forum runs..

It softens you towards the actors you absolutely loathed once upon a time (eg. Aloo,Bir) and makes you see the ones you were fans of once upon a time (eg. DP and SR) in a totally different light.

Even if you have begun to dislike DP purely because of her shenanigans, not only are you hater of Bollywood, but also bhakt and a trad. And God forbid, if you call out SRK for his unpalatable comments and/or don't like his movie for any reasons, you are also an Islamophobe..

When they showed the trailer for this when I went to see Rocky ki Prem Kahani, everyone was laughing at the trailer and not in a good way 🤣are people actually excited about this movie?

Akshay first said it for his 2010 home production Khatta Meetha. While promoting it he said he already made back all the money spent before release even. Tho that film didn’t do well in the cinemas

I still get the feeling that it has become fashionable to bash Pathaan...none of those doing it here in the forum could tell me what exactly made the movie like what they call it (except for citing the scating scene - which tells me that they aren't familar with action movies)... some didn't even watch it (baring reportedly 5-10 min which is telling already).

I enjoyed it...it was fun...with some things not really part of general action movies because of very Indian/SRK-actuality. Honestly, those generic comments, I just shrug them off...they have no depth (if ever personal experience).

It's okay, negativity is just a part of the parcel 😊

I really like the way people react and reflect on their reactions.. to me, it's a process of learning...and everybody who does it actively will evolve (in whatever direction)

Here, personally, I don't think in terms of "fan", "haters" etc. ...whatever label members give to others (including me) doesn't matter in my responding to them...

Here, there are 2 rules I try to respect: I distrust numbers, I trust personal statements of members...
