Actually it was showed in the show itself... It was maya who asked teji to accept their relationship and then wait for her next instruction which most probably will take place after she reaches India...

So, till last moment teji was reluctant to accept but farah too insisted that they have to agree to what maya didi is saying and hence teji agreed to 'fake' accept their relationship
