I don't think you understand what whitewashing means here. Abhi has not been whitewashed even once. Every single time his mistakes have been exposed and talked about in the show and he has gone through some kind of redemption/realization arc where he finally apologizes and accepts his mistakes.

Arohi is whitewashed cause they haven't shown her or anyone discussing her mistakes or even apologizing for them. People have just forgiven her, and her character itself is changed from what it was without any real arc shown to us. It's assumed the arc was during the six-year leap, but that is hard to accept.

Ak being whitewashed means that no one is ever going to address her mistakes, and she herself is never going to accept that those were mistakes in the first place. Abhi has accepted his mistakes on the white day and even before that. Ak, however, is still convinced ALL of her decisions were right, including making someone else Abhir's father and hiding that secret for so many years and all the things that followed. If they simply give her a mental illness or memory loss track, then none of that will ever be addressed, and that is the issue.

Agree Akshara was wronged 6 years back by Birlas and by Aarohi all her life..seems she has given free pass to Aarohi and Geonkas ..and all she can do is blame Abhi. She needs healing no doubt..but for that she has to stop..think . realize..her pattern of making reckless rash decisions that have effect on everyone..and then everyone reacts to it..no doubt she must be affected by peoples reactions but just looking at effect and not thinking at all about cause of why people reacted that way ..is there somewhere she went a bit wrong..just looking at her pain and ignoring everyone elses pain..just taking actions which have major consequences on everyone and not expecting anyone to give her any reaction is unrealistic...what she does has effect on people ...they react..no wonder that causes her trauma but does she look at all at her role in it..she needs healing no doubt about it but that won't come till she has some self realisation..and people change ..Abhi has changed..I can see his realization..I can see his efforts to change or trying to change ..where is that in Akshara.she isn't only a victim and everyone else her abusers.. relationship involves 2 people ...taali ek haath se nahi bajti..both have role in relationship being successful or failing.
