Here she was always looking for excuse not to tell him and keep it secret as long as she can. There is no importance given here that person who was bad earlier trying to learn from the mistake.

On top this was MG’s fault to reopen the case. I am sure he must be above 70 Ian’s if he hasn’t learn to think that what is the best interest for both party then you can’t expect anyone to do that in this show.

writer has completely made mockery out of motherhood.

Then blame writers as cruel not ak as mother

Completely agree.

Rather than tell the truth she chose to re-traumatize an already traumatized child. She shouldn't get a pass because she is a mother or because she was hurt in the past. As a mother and someone who has hurt in the past she should know better. She could've stopped the cycle of trauma six years ago, but she choose to give him a lifetime of trauma for temporary relief.

I don’t know why we are resorting back to comparisons between what happened with Akshara and Abhir and trying to justify her behavior through that. You can’t hurt your child because the world once hurt you.

Thing is, Abhimanyu has taken Akshara’s place in the name of empathy. The way he is approaching this is so much more mature. Rather than playing blame games and hurting an innocent soul.

Yes, the custody verdict was cruel. No one should have to separate from their mother. But it’s not like Abhir is going to some stranger’s house who he knows nothing about. He knows Docman, he loves Docman. Again, it’s ridiculous that the court would want this transition to happen within a single day. But it is what it is and we cannot blame Abhimanyu for the decision.

Honestly, them revealing the entire truth to Abhir rather than this ridiculous reason, which hurt the poor child and made him think of himself as a burden on his parents, would have been better! Abhimanyu would be okay to take all the blame. But he would also be okay to explain things to Abhir the way a child would understand.

@bold Wow, ITV is crazy. Her living with a stranger she knew nothing about during a high-risk pregnancy was crazy, but it turns out he never had a surname either. That makes her whole "Sharma family" chants look even more ridiculous now lol.

To me, Abhi was always more understanding and gentler. It started with Shivu in the first leap. He actively engages with the children, which is rare for ITV. None of the adults on the show actually talk the children, they talk at them.

Makers are perpetually confused about what to do. Viewers watch Abhi being kind and understanding, but the characters in Goenka house act like he is a monster lol. Everything they accuse him of they are the culprits. One minute is he is the enemy then the next he is someone who will understand their pain and suffer in their stead. He is written like the female lead viewers are waiting to see if he ever gets justice or if his sacrifices are acknowledged lol.

@bold: Yes, Abhi has always been depicted as great with kids of all ages....he was adorable with Shivu the toddler as well as any other kids around the hospital also. As you said, he actively engages with children no matter what their age....he doesn't try to talk down to them or dismiss them....the way he gives a safe space to all children to talk to him, share with him....that is beautiful to watch. None of the other adults in this generation have been shown doing that as well as him.

And so much WORD to your line about how all other adults in this show usually talk AT the kids rather than WITH them.

Re: Akshara's choice of law as a career....lol yes indeed a very odd choice from the makers considering the substantial criminal record she has amassed in this generation. Even her mom Naira played fast and loose with the law but had the good sense to not try to jump into that as a profession give her own checkered history 😆. Then again, when have the words SENSE and Akshara ever belonged in the same sentence....lol the more nonsensical it looks, the more likely she is to choose it and then try to paint herself as some "righteous devi"😆

Re: No surname....yeah in his initial scenes just before the leap, Nav was shown telling Akshara he doesn't have a last name....all their "bonding" pre-leap when she was living in his house during the pregnancy all happened with having no last name....then he was magically given a last name by makers just in time for their shaadi so that she can boast of being Mrs. Sharma😆

Completely agree. Makers should utilize his genuine bonds instead of glorifying psychological abuse as love. At this point, Abhi and his interactions with children are the only family friendly thing about the show.

As for her career, I didn't mention her past disregard for the law because ITV requires selective amnesia, but that special feature only applies to the female lead and her family lol. If it portrays her in a negative light then it never happened or it's someone else's fault.

@bold So, the makers basically shot themselves in the foot on purpose lol. Now, the mature square of ambiguous relationships makes sense. It was to counteract the Sharma's random marriage. No woman in her right mind would accept a coffee from a stranger for fear of being stalked or murdered. The fact she entertained a stranger and lived with him then proceeded to marry him to give him her child is insane. If the makers were copying ghum's leap they should've done it properly.

He is only six. Won't all this affect him in future. The lies about parenting ..trust issues..then being unwanted. I think he can have issues in future as these things are very deep for a six year old to comprehend. He seems a logical kid. Couldn't they make it logical and less dramatic.

Ruhi is in much better space than abhir.

Ruhi knows who is her real father since very young age. She also knows where is her father now so she has no headache and curiosity for searching for real father etc. she is pretty much sorted about her real father.

Ruhi is not burdened with any guilt at this young age but look at abhir, he is burdened with the guilt that he is the reason of his parent’s bankruptcy and reason of their 0 savings because of his surgery.

Abhir’s existence/identity was build on lie/jhol and now he is burdened with guilt too.

There was other ways to explain to Abhir like rational adults. That drama wasn't necessary and extremely damaging. Like I said before for Akshara and Abhinav the ends justify the means. A child with a heart condition who is prone to hiding his problems from adults getting emotionally scarred for life doesn't matter lol.

Also, I missed a couple months of the leap, but was Abhir adopted by Abhinav? Did Abhi legally sign away his rights as a father? I thought he didn't know about Abhir's existence until a few months ago. I don't understand why the characters are acting Abhi stole Abhir from them. It's actually the opposite. Sharma's removed his son from his life and Goenkas tried to help her continue her cruelty. Makers are throwing everything and it's getting any response. The TRPs are still stagnant.

Very well said. I think Akshara took that major decision in hormonal emotional impulsive state having lot of anger and hurt to change father of kid but did not think through it in entirety. It's magnitude. How will it impact everyone at various levels in long term. May be that decision was based upon assumption that Abhi will never return or he will never get to know about Abhir or will not want to do anything with kid. It was an assumption. Everyone says white day which was wrong and some very bad writing. But Aksharas actions ...that lead to white day and Abhis state of mind his grief ...his trauma.. it is zero. There was some reason may be not justifiable in Abhis actions that day but that was never addressed. No one stops to think how huge his loss was with loss of brother two kids and mother's state on that day. Anyhow what Abhi is wanting is his basic right. Why is everyone making it sound like he is doing something wrong. Everyone has faults but why focus always on Abhis more than everyone else.

Absolutely. There is very high chance that he will have issues as an adult. This is huge.
