rich people and celebs do this for tax saving, they try to distribute assets so as to mitigate risks. Like for businesses, there's an LLP(Limited Liability Partnership), they do this so as to not have most of the liability attached to oneself.

It should be SRK or Gauri who purchased land.

It is not Suhana's money for sure. She has not started earning yet and I doubt she knows much about real estate and what land to buy or not.

Parents do it all and then do PR that their kid bought land blah blah.

Anyway is it legal to buy farmland? I remember Bachchans and Hema got into big trouble for buying farmland in past.

I don't know if it's discussed in the thread already, but the reason behind it is SRK was already in the soup for buying a huge farmland in Alibaug and using it as his vacation home. I know there are many rich people who did the same in Alibaug but in India, you can't just buy farmland to make buildings there, you have to farm there if you are buying it. Since the dad didn't, it's common sense the daughter won't either. The daughter might open a bar like Smriti Irani's daughter did in Goa.
