Every single character has been butchered to make Anupamaa look faultless. EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER.

The show is called Anupamaa, agreed, but who gave them the memo that the leading lady HAS to always be shown aa right? Its pathetic.

The portrayal of Maaya and Dimpy especially is so cringeworthy. It reiterates the message that women who have been sexually violated are somehow not right in the head. Thats sickening.

And don’t get me started on Anuj. I’ve said it before, he was the best, most stable, feminist, wonderful hero of ITV who was massacred. Anuj rocked but Unanuj sucks big time.

But, hey. The TRP has risen apparently so TRP aunties probably want this, and DKP is happily dancing to the bank.

See TRP aunties are part of this sickening mentality. They firmly belive that rape victims, mental patient/ trafficking survivor are the women who themself call for it. So they are showing the same and getting TRP.

Anupama has very conveniently forgotten about CA. Who was her responsibility and is growing with a mental patient calling her Ma. Is it good for her? Forget about what Anuj did , her relation with CA is not / should not get impacted by her and Anuj's relation. That's how parenting works.

Maya is a weak character.Shameless lady.🤢today even Anuj treated her like a worm and warned her "mujhe hath math lagana" and she was giving her cringe expressions🤡

MOREOVER IN AN EPISODE THEY SHOWED DIMPY LOOSES HER CALM OVER BAA FOR NOT LET HER SUHAGRAT DONE. BUT THEY DONT KNOW THAT IT TAKES YEARS FOR A RAPE VICTIM TO TRUST A MAN LET ALONE THE PHYSICAL INTIMACY BECAUSE THIS WILL BRING BACK THE NIGHTMARES OF THE CRIME HAPPENED TO HER.

SAME WITH MAAYA.

OUR SOCIETY IS ALREADY REGRESSIVE ON THESE ISSUES AND THESE MAKERS GIVE THEM ANOTHER REASON TO NOT ACCEPT THESE VICTIMS IN THE SOCIETY.

THIS SHOW IS ABOUT WOMEN EMPOWERMENT BUT INSTEAD IT IS A JOKE TO IT.

WE ALL SHOULD FILE A PETITION REGARDING SUCH REGRESSIVE TRACKS.

Absolutely. All the storylines depicted in this show are manifestations of the mentality possessed by majority of the viewerbase. Enough real life Leelas and Vanrajs exist in the world who actually behave the same way. Their typical thought process considers only themselves to be right and everyone else to be wrong who don't even deserve basic human courtesy. They are bitter in their own lives and have/want an Anupama they can control and demean. All they care about is upholding the patriarchy whereby a Vanraj or Paritosh can do any wrong but any other character especially female or even Anupama herself dare not say a word and should rather exist only in servitude.

When these people relate themselves to Anupama as the titular lead, a similar situation occurs whereby Anupama is always justified even when she is being oppressed by Leela, Vanraj or anyone else or chooses them at her own cost while other characters are spit roasted and taken apart at the slightest of perceived wrongs.

Actually this show is about the glorification of an illiterate, incapable, selfish, ungrateful and spineless doormat who doesn't possess any REAL TALENT and is a DISGRACE to womanhood. She never really struggled in life and was served everything on a silver platter by her rich pati/puppy. This woman wasn't even qualified enough to become a peon but suddenly became the owner of a multi billion dollar company. WOW!SLOW CLAPS. While on the other hand Rakhi,Kinjal,Kavya,Barkha and Maya are well educated, smart, ambitious and capable women. They are SELF MADE and TRUE FLAG BEARERS OF FEMINISM. Thus,they are deliberately butchered to portray the fl as "Mahanata ki Murat". Either they are villanized or made fl Bhakt so that nobody dares to question her ability or the nonsense dished out to the viewers and just hail the jagat Mata 24×7.As simple as that....

I don’t think it has anything to do with being a victim. Dimpy was a victim of rape and that story was told and resolved, and the writers moved forward with a different storyline for her.

If Barkha is a victim of an extra marital affair, so is Anupama. Her husband, Vanraj, was worse bringing his partner home and celebrating Kavya even on his wife’s birthday in front of all.

Maya was a victim but she overcame and did well for herself. She should have been shown as that character that came through fire for her child’s sake. Instead they have butchered her because of a crazy obsession she has developed for Anuj.

The victim story in all these instances is just a blip in the storyline for the writers, they move on to new imaginative nonsense to keep the viewers glued.
