If we see the episodes from the starting, Murtasim has soft expression in Episode 5 after the slap, and in Ep 6 he had some sort of feelings for her. But after their marriage got fixed I think his feelings got intensified. He was mesmerised when he saw her in Ep 8. And his expressions got more intensified during their Nikah. May be at that time he didn’t fall in love with her but he was attracted to her.
I think he meant that after marriage he didn’t have the chance to be close to her. Maze in the sense husband and wife moments.
