What draws you to a film? - Page 2

Actually, I think, one can only have a perception of the quality when watching the movie... the trailer can give an impression that you like/dislike, but the movie can - nevertheless - give you the opposite impression.

To me, it's different to talk about "the biggest quality ... a film should have" than to give a reason for choosing to watch a certain movie.

To the latter, I may reply like RTH did...it could have many different reasons...

99% of the time it's the music. 1% is the vibe/intuition.

Well....it was a very comprehensible brief about the sort of movie I am drawn towards to as asked , weird if one finds it pretentious .

Ok I guess this wasn't needed to be explained but I guess it needs to be . To me (alongwith sort of director , cast etc.) , a trailer drops just a hint in that direction , a very rough idea about everything . And is basically a sort of ad. that do try this . That's it ! And obviously , it is only after giving it a try that one can properly judge everything out & out . Including screenplay . Ok ?
