"fiction" is not an excuse to show any rubbish and for audience to lap it up with insensitive comments on issues like surrogacy, infertility, adoption, EMA, infidelity, disability. Personally for me when I see a person endorse the rubbish plot shown by makers, then to me it demonstrates a regressive POV. And to me its bothersome and worrying to read certain types of comments because I feel like if the supposedly more educated and working women demographic comprising the online audience can condone and justify the crap shown then it will be even worse with TRP audience and that translates to more pathetic content on ITV with no accountability or hope for improvement ever. And these kind of things have more far reaching impact on peoples POV and psyche than just- oh its fiction, its just TV. We are impacted by the content we consume in many ways so its important that while makers show the complex issues pertaining relationships, marriage, etc etc, it is not done with the lens of condoning or normalizing something problematic.

For entertainment we watch which is fun and doesn’t show like these content…. May be people who r educated and mature enough can to understand it’s for entertainment but we r talking about children and non educated people…who r not that understanding or mature enough to know it is for entertainment….have u ever listen to ur maids or any neighbors discuss these topics as if it happened in their household and compare their own situations with them…that’s what we r saying that makers should take this into consideration…not only this serial…every 1 out of 3 serials have similar story lines but how they take on that matters….let’s take balika vadu as example we all know soo many social norms they showed and as we are talking about EMA jagat had affair with gowri while being married to anandi but anandi did become a doormat…she fought, she divorced, she moved on, she didn’t cheat on her husband emotionally/physically, she didn’t even go back to jagat even after her husband Died…that what they must show people and can write a entertaining and powerful story line…not like character sayi who saying herself strong and independent but in reality a doormat

Yes understand they need drama for trp and entertainment

they can show that done by actors playing negative leads or side characters
Like jagtap in this show or cn people

people idealize leads, enjoy wrong doers being punished - none of the pakhi crime punished

here they shoved wahiyat characters as leads, praised them and promoted them all the time instead punishing 😡

The treatment of Ghum is pathetic no doubt. But if the channel has been making profits (since decades) by showing similar content, why would they stop their cash cow?

U guys only tell na y only me….as people are Soo interested in entertainment and love watching abusers and EMAs….people must have something on their minds too

I don’t have any issue with what is shown in the Ghum + I don’t worry about how a show will affect people. So I am fine with what is shown. It is fiction after all 😆
