Ok not defending Shahid here at all but why’s everyone taking this so seriously?? I haven’t seen the interview so I don’t know in what context this is said but I don’t think it deserves such uproar unless we for sure know what exactly he means. I took as women always count their partners as one their children sort of joke.

To clarify so no one comes for me I’m not for the idea women are supposed to fix men. It’s his responsibility to fix himself before he gets into a relationship with someone. Manchilds should be dumped immediately.

Marriage is a partnership where both partners enrich, help, fix, enhance each other and take equal responsibilities. It is NOT about woman coming to fix a man and teach him how to be decent or make up for his poor upbringing, bad parenting or teach him what his parents never did or clean his mess. Shahid is wrong. And I am glad he has been criticised rightfully all over the internet for it. If you are a mess then seek therapy. Marriage is a responsibility and commitment, it is not a rehab. Messed up losers never deserve to be spouse or parent. Such a loser cannot be a good father and usually they are absent or negligent dads, not good role models for kids either and woman is left to handle responsibility of both kids and the overgrown manchild she married.

Same applies to reverse situations also. No man needs to marry a messed up woman or fix her or marry a child woman either.

Childish brats, messed up men and women are not suitable to handle responsibility of marriage and kids. They are especially a total disaster as parents and kids suffer due to messed up, immature parents.

High time Bollywood, TV shows, celebs and their fans stopped glorifying irresponsible behaviour or treating marriage as some substitute for bad upbringing or therapy. Marriage is NOT meant to heal or treat your issues or fix your mess. Get a therapist for that instead and marry only if you are healed yourself and able to take responsibility for yourself, others, future kids.
