everytime viaan refers to katha as "his light" and he has seen the light and his life brightened etc,..... I keep thinking "has he joined a cult?" 🤣

Earlier he had and addiction " Teju's crazyness"... he was normal with abnormal anger issues and resentment towards ladies who flirts

He had a hobby of " testing " ladies

Now he is a transformed man who is member of Katha cult .,,,,He sees light ,,,,looking at her 🤣

unfortunately, teh drama has taken a downturn into the absurd and very boring phase. nothing makes sense.

here's the recap:

so basically viaan got baby fever while investigating fatherhood because he decides that the way to katha's heart is to become a father. she does not care for the man you see. he also got miraculously healed from his issues with his father by finding out mistress lady and downloading on to her in five minutes.

however, mistress lady, seema, has dementia and so had no idea what he was referring to. however, viaan is too obsessed with baby fever and his biological clock that he didn't pick up or care. now, that he was miraculously cured, he decided that he needed real life experience.

you remember big hair keith the musician friend. well apparently he was married and his wife is also viaan's friend though viaan had no clue amrita was expecting. as keith is out of town, viaan decides he need to be daddy and rushes into delivery room without caring for the modesty of his friend or care for doctors. 🙄

baby is born and viaan coos and makes nonsensical statements that he was not able to create such magic. apparently, he was feeling bad that no baby came out of the one night stand. then viaan shifts into nanny mode because apparently there are no servants in India and neither does this couple have relatives. so their CEO friend will drop work and run to babysit as his baby fever is raging.

meanwhile katha is impressed at viaan's cooing and her heart is melting that viaan can be a good father even if he came from a messed up family. apparently katha is also looking for a father figure for aarav. but meanwhile she finds time to follow viaan, give lectures on babies and what not.

since baby phase is over, now we are having school problem phase.

aarav decides that robin must be part of parent teacher group and has added viaan. for reasons unknown, apparently this app operates on username only and all the parents have codes -- viaan is parent#10. no one checkes who is who but is happy to download parent lectures from viaan.

that is the stupidity of the show right now. no architecture or anything.

oh, viaan has a half-sister who is a brat and does not believe in team work. she is now working in earthcon but unclear what her final goal is because she is always on phone with dementia mom.

ehsaan is meanwhile having lots of drinks and falling asleep because he can't believe his friend. jeetu bhai is running the office because viaan is too busy in his baby fever. so earthcon will eventually change its name to babycon or include a baby as part of its motto as they diversify from architecture to nanny services.

folks -- have I missed anything? 😆

New serial barsatein is coming in June. Who knows they might end up katha and in that time slot new serial may air.

From 19th June it will air. No idea of the time slot. Maybe 10 pm also. But when kbc starts all serials will be removed from 9 pm. Its Ekta serial. So ...

I have allergy of her shows

Have never seen such " ridiculous and hilarious " plots , unless the lead pair has some magic can't even look at it as time pass

Won't even try to watch

I can't bear the constant presence of " Vamp " and good for nothing brood of relatives 🤣🤣

In her drama only one " super duper character is there that is the " VAMP "who cooly walks off even when they are caught

I was off from the itv scene for long… last I watched was Mere Dad ki Dulhan which was overall decent. My itv sojourns are limited to reality music shows, I am active in those forums, esp Indian Idol.
Coming to soaps, I got hooked to Paki dramas , so it was a happy bye-bye to Indian soaps, till I chanced upon Katha. Though I havent watched the original, the fact that it is based on a Turkish drama piqued my interest & I started watching. I binged on all those episodes till 100, loved it, recommended it, was looking forward to more binging. Then the downward spiral started. Trust them to wreak havoc on a plot & actors with good potential.

Somehow survived the birthing -burping episodes which moved up the cringe level. Just when I heaved a sigh of relief, comes this PTgroup chat track. Still reeling over that.🙄. Like… seriously..???
The frustration of the above tracks made me read up the posts here.

And boy, I am having fun …lol…

On a side note - Pinjra the Pakistani show depicted parenting issues, as well as remarriage ( that character had 2 teen kids) so beautifully. 👌.

Will be a regular here now. Place to vent … 😁.
