That is because in pak drama's we always see cousin marriage or weddings among families and this whole khandan shebang is a big deal. And the environment MK grew up in and since he is gaddinasheen he has to look at all this factors or rather looks at these factors by default. So, when it was revealed Mee wasn't waqas's daughter he lost it. I personally did not think it was a big deal.

Him reacting like that was understandable because he was brought up like that. But for viewers, the male lead reacting like that will make him a grey character. And also there are some inconsistencies in his character.

And in Episode 7, MB gave reasons why he should marry Meerab:

- She is beautiful.

- She is educated.

- She is of equal stature.

Then he said that shuld I marry her based on these things. Then what else he want to consider? Compatibility?

And the already established things were

- She is from his khandan i.e., his uncle's daughter.

- And the marriage was his father's wish.

And his main concern was compatibility. Do the guys with feudal background consider compatibility? Let's say they consider it. And for suppose he had a compatibility with a girl who is not from his khandaan, would he have agreed to marry her?

And in Episode 39, he said that he was/is not interested in the system and in the environment and wanted to become an International Wildlife Photographer. But he behaves like a feudal lord.

bold 2 - He does not want to behave like that but he has to because he was dragged in it unwillingly and now that he in it he consciously or subconsciously has to behave a certain way as he has certain responsibilities attached to him.

Also, why are we trying to find logic in TB? I thought we all know are well aware that there are gazillions of loopholes and inconsistency in this story and characters arc well what is that??

I am honestly watching only for the chemistry and not story because it does not exist unfortunately.

So no point in getting frustrated on MK and Mee

If at all NM proves or shows there never was any MR in first place! I want to watch the reviews that day !

They shouldn't. You know why? Even if they try to justify now , people will say they are lying and trying to save their face. In my opinion none from the team need to give any clarification at this point.

They should clarify it somehow via dialogues in the show itself. That would be enough to shut all these people ..

That's true!! Either through flashbacks or dialogues.. even monologues will not help bcoz ppl think it has been added after the backlash.
