I think he promised marriage to maya. She might have made him emotional with anu being najayaz.

I also feel he may not have slept with maya Because anupama didn't had same reaction like she had at the time when she got to know about vanraj n toshu. She was quite calm. But what adhikaar is she talking about..

Though don't trust makers. They can show anuj slept with maya n make vanraj's words true.

Maaya is acting as a wife of anuj , he 2 is caring about her openly . It anupama's right to be anuj's wife

If anupama would be talking about these adhikaar she would have concluded before only anuj is cheating her.
