I feel like we're all having two parallel world discussions here. 😆

One, in theory. On paper, as we understand Meerub and Murtasim's characters to be and how and why they reacted the way they did post the deed. Why the regret and guilt makes sense, even with the lack of a conversation later which realistically would have been the next step. The way some of us understand these two, mann, this show would have been such a masterpiece if writers took suggestions and ideas from here.

Two, as per the episode, it's godawful re-editing. So, ofcourse, as per what you see and depending on which context out of the two (originally MR and no MR in the plot) do you apply, some aspect of it or the other isn't obviously going to make sense. That's just a lost case there.

Personally, I'm just relieved that they chose consensual sex over MR, no matter who initiated it or asked for it. Meerub being the one was the safest way out of the mess and as unfair as that may have been to her as a FL lead (Nooran and team have always written her so poorly, so it doesn't make much of a difference to me), it was imperative that Murtasim's character be salvaged. Reason being the way they had developed Murtasim's character to be all this while and unfortunately (or fortunately), Meerub came to the rescue.

My take on Mee leaving:

Mee came with contract to protect herself. She was forced into the marriage, and she from start promised to herself that she won’t give in to marriage, giving in would mean accepting whatever happened with her. She doesn’t want to accept it, accepting anything that was forced on her is not mee.

Everyone wants to have a happy marriage. To have a happy marriage one has to give in, but Mee doesn’t want to give in. So, she comes up with a contract, which reminds Mee “Don’t give in, you were forced.”

I am not Muslim but from what I understand about Nikah, is that they sign a legal document.

That contract in Mee’s mind was somewhere above that legal document, it was protecting mee

Mee says “I’ll leave you the day, I’ll breach the contract.” And then says “Qubool hai.”

She meant it that time.

Mee leaving was like she broke a clause in the contract she designed for herself, she had to pay for it. She leaves. She had to follows the rule she made, she had to leave him, even if she doesn’t want to, because that contract mattered to Mee.

For Mu, contract wasn’t important, Mee was. For Mee it was hell important.

She called herself his wife, she wasn’t disgusted at all. She loves him.

She doesn’t regret giving in into him, but regrets breaking the promise she made to herself, she gave in, she disrespected herself in a way. If you disappoint yourself, it’s really bad disappointment. Mee did that. She disappointed herself. She is egoistic person, she cannot accept that gave in, had Mu broke the contract (not forcefully), it would have been easy her, she would have blamed him but now she can’t him, she is one to be blamed. She can not take it. No one likes losing and Mee hates it.

I kinda want to know at what point into shooting the episodes and story writing was an MR included? Was it always going to be in the plot since day 1 of writing? Or did Nooran and team include it while the show had started shooting and episodes were on air? 🤔 Because if it always going to include an MR, any actor, writer or directors interviews (haven't seen any offscreen/interviews stuff) praising Murtasim to skies makes no sense...or they're all just twisted in their heads because let's not forget, MR is a reality and we have a great chunk of population all across the world that still believes MR is normal, common, reasonable, justified or worthy of being forgiven, for whatever reasons of their own.

Thank you for the tag, I too have to post something, I agreed with you. And I too think it’s not MR, I know they have edited some scenes and made adjustments here and there but that was not because they changed it from the original story because if it was the case then they would have to reshoot all the coming parts, the only reason behind the editing of Haya’s scene was because they wanted to show it as MR and were going to clear everything later but they had to do that in this episode because of the backlash, they were never going to show MR but was surely going to use it to gain more money and TRP, just like Hira said if not this week then surely next week we all are going to be satisfied. According to the bts when Murtasim searched for Meerub, he was angry but should not he be guilty for the act if it was MR? NM has planned to blame Meerub for the separation since the start (I have no idea why she hates her FL so much but she has successfully made Meerub the most stupid by writing those stupid dialogues) I won’t say much because in the upcoming episodes we all will see what part they have changed and what not, so no use of cribbing over something that’s not in our hands.
