Ozymandias
This poem is a sonnet written by PB Shelley which deals and discusses about the futility that life is. And also tell us that nothing lasts forever. Here, the poet is narrating a story where he states that he recently met a traveller who came from an ancient land. That traveller has seen a vast broken statue in the middle of the huge desert during his traveling and he was amazed that only a part of that statue was remained. It seemed to be a portrayal of a famous Egyptian king popularly known as Ozymandias. His visage (a human face) was lying down in the sand and its expressions were revealing that that king was an atrocious and arrogant ruler, who was quite rude and cruel towards people and his fellow kings. The sculptor has done his work pretty well by portraying the exact nature of that king simply by putting it on his face through the art of sculpting. What an irony that today only the sculptor's art remains, the king died long ago. This way the poet is discussing about the short-lived nature of pride, power, fame, arrogance. They are transient, only the art remains.

Visage, sculpture, atrocious and transient seem nice to my eyes. These are beautiful words (specially transient and visage).
