Reading Lavanyna background realized that the two knew each other for last 6 years. Their affair i assume is relatively new in last year.

Akash,Payal all know Lavanya so I assume so does Khushi. Wonder if it is Lavanya who revealed to Khushi about her affair with Arnav. In case Arnav chickens out in filing for divorce. May explain why Khushi did not question him and agreed for a no contest divorce.

Also Arnav had noted Khushi wore a saree for their anniversary celebration. Does he find that Khushi does not fit with his flamboyant lifestyle.

The worst thing about it is that Arnav was so ready to throw in the Lavanya confession to get her to agree to the divorce if she objected. That was to be his trump card. That makes makes him a total insensitive jerk.

So we get that Khushi has been the one trying to save this marriage, but not him. He was done one year ago. He was in love with her once. Why and how did he fall out of love? Or he just thinks he did? That guilt inside him is saying something.

Did Arnav start to feel that she was no longer suited for him and his new lifestyle? That she did not fit in his world any more? Did he start distancing himself? Even in the end, she reached out for that hug.

I have tears in my eyes for Khushi right now. I am glad she walked away with her dignity. I hope you will show us a strong Khushi who will have plans of her own. She will do something with her life. Arnav seems to think that she needs him. Let him find out that he lost something precious. That he might have needed her more.

His guilt keeps piling up. He thought throwing enough money at her would save him from the guilt. But she took that away from him.

He is so wrong that she will hurt less if she finds out about Lavanya later. It will always hurt. That hurt can not be taken away. She still loves him. He chose to hide things and not be honest about it, that will hurt the most.

Chapter 3

This chapter was hard hitting. It bothered. Amazing writing and crytazilles a bit more Arnav's and Khushi characters. Don't know where to start..so will start with Khushi.

Khushi the "villager"and "gawar" has some folks like to call her is both elegant and dignified. Unlike her super rich, powerful husband had the basic decency to meet and inform before she left. It was she who reached out for the hug and not him.

What more a tell does he need that she asked that it was OK to use his driver services. The man is so daft and in love with himself that he thought she is the mistress of the house so why ask !

She is shattered (she is aware of his infidelity) and is taking a paltry sum. Hope she has acquired some skill and can stand on her own two feet. How broken must she be to say to an employee Aman that the almighty cannot stand being in the same room as her !

Arnav. I had called him entitled before and this chapter reinforces it. The money, success had gone into his head or he always was wallowing on all that he had to give up.

Couples drift apart, change have different goals. Separate. He is sleeping with another woman while married..he has no regrets..just that it will shatter Khushi. Or he blames the state of his marriage for his infidelity so divorce is the answer.

Throughout his musings, conversation with lawyer and Aman..he is confident of Khushi reactions. He is proven wrong each time. He is so self obsessed that her asking for paltry sum is a way to stop the divorce.

The man deserves Lavanya and like..maybe he will finally be happy to be in similar self worship company

That she would rant and rave? Did he ever know her, in a way that she may have understood him? It looks like she always understood his need to work, to be away from home even if that came at the expense of their own relationship. It was good to see that he realized that his expectation of possible reactions was a way of assuaging his own guilt.

I feel for her and I also understand her need to break all threads including giving up the NGO that she had looked after like her own child, in his words. A clean break, to heal, to look forward, to pick up the threads of her life which was probably always at mercy of his schedule so to speak.

I had the same thoughts P. When he said that Khushi might insist on these sessions and lawyer said she does not want, did Arnav not wonder why? Has he not understood her in the 10 years of their married life.

Maybe gradually he will try to analyse where he went wrong in his marriage and I am sure Khushi too will be analysing what happened in the next couple of days/weeks/months.

And the NGO, imagine if the NGO mainly works with women who have been abandoned by their husbands and who are helpless and Khushi was working for the betterment of those women. Now to go back to that place and putting herself in the same position as those women, it will kill her.

She surely needs time to heal.

Thank you so much. For your comments about all the chapters. I liked seeing that your opinion on this Arnav has been spot on with these chapters. He is truly behaving like an insensitive jerk, but you also noticed he struggled as a child and that may have been tough. This shift in opinion may happen often dwindling between past and present but it’s because he will change as a person throughout this tale. Glad to see I’m able to convey that via these chapters.
