I think the third book will be longer especially when it will include their past scenes and what went wrong. I do hope it is close to what you’ve described. I would LOVE the climbing in the window and sleeping and comforting each other scenes. The sweet whispers during the night. I want the jealous neighbour ruining possible date nights and taking her out instead 😂

Quite a few have called him Mafia Boss Lucian 😂 I really don wonder what we’re going to learn about Lucian. And Sloane. I can’t wait until September, I think. Another 6 months remaining!! Can’t wait for the third.

Remember in this book there's a scene where Sloane and Nash talk? Where he's helping with the chipped wall?

He asks her about Lucian and she evades but there's Nash's monologue where he remembers that Sloane and Lucian had completely different dynamics outside of school, beyond the stolen glances in the hallway and he DID SEE LUCIAN CLIMB through a tree into her room by window.

I sooo want window scenes man!

AND JEALOUS LUCIAN, MORE OF JELLY LUCY.

Like in the present not the high school, the present.

Yes! I do remember that scene and how he'd never questioned them about it.

I wanted to know more. I loved how he told Sloane about Lucian punching that guy for making a comment about her. 😂

I feel as if they stayed seperate in their schools due to the difference between them. Her being the nerdy girl and him being whatever he was 😂 then its afterwards when there is no one around, they're secret best friends. I really want to know what Lucian did because she always ready to fight him.

I was looking for something to read because I didn't know what I wanted to read next. I jumped from one book to another and landed up on Romancing the Duke by Tessa Dare.

I started off with the audiobook because this book was in third person and I struggle starting with third person pov always for some reason.

I think she has all of her books on Scribd so just added the entire series to my library. Anyway, I started off listening then switched to the kindle once I got into the rhythm of being in third person pov and continued reading.

Izzy is just so hilarious. I love her determination and defiance. Especially when she tries to pull out manners from Ransom. BTW why the heck was this name chosen for him?😆

The funniest scene was when she demanded he kiss her again and not ruin her first kiss 🤣 My brother who is visiting for a couple of days gave me the bombastic side eye 🤣🤣

“I’ve dreamed of my first kiss. I just knew in my heart that it would be romantic and tender and knee-meltingly sweet.”

“Well, now you know you were wrong. By this age, you should be accustomed to disappointment.”

“That’s where you’re mistaken.” Her grip tightened on his shirtfront. “I’ve started fighting against it. You’re not going to ruin my first kiss. I won’t let you. You’re going to kiss me again, right now. And make it better.”

“It’s over. It’s already done. Even if I did kiss you again, it wouldn’t be your first kiss anymore.”

“It counts,” she said. “So long as it’s part of the same embrace, it all counts as one.”

This is just so funny and cannot wait to read the others as well. I'm supposed to be sleeping as work starts up in 6 hours but I am planning to read a few more chapters before I sleep 😆

RTD is among my favorite Tessa books but my top favorite has got to be A Week to be Wicked. If you enjoyed Tessa’s style I highly recommend this one! I have actually forgotten RTD, need to re-read but I remember loving both leads, they are sooo endearingly cute!

PS: Your third person problem is my first person problem 😆

I've noted them down. Aaj kal bohat problem ho rahi hai read karne mein, I used to have 6k books in my iBooks app but i've been having issues with the app and it's making me sad because I don't know what to use now😔 i've been reading on this app for 10 years. But these days idk what's wrong with it, my phone gets so hot whenever I open the app to start reading and it drains all my battery.

I tho think it was a secret because Lucian might have wanted so...Sloane doesn't feel like a girl who would go ahead and keep a friendship hidden because she wears her heart on her sleeve in some way. It had to be Lucian, maybe with all the crap going on at his house he wanted to keep her away from him, knew he was trouble and wanted to keep her as uninvolved as possible.

She went ballistic when he said he tries to make things right with a person when they matter, it was a BAD DIG on his part. Clearly he was jealous of the Nolan and her and took it out in front of everyone. He basically told her she means nothing to him, not enough to try or think to try even. That's just a very deep dig lol, I'd go batshit crazy if a special ex-friend of mine did that. It's just cruel.

I'm absolutely feral for Lucian and Sloane, cannot get through the months.

This is the only thing I'm living for.

I’m almost finished with romancing the duke and looking forward to the second. RTD has been quite adorable and funny.

It was easier when I was young to be reading third person and first person was an issue. But it’s been over a decade now, I was 18 and I’m turning 30 this year, that I’ve just been reading first person pov that third person pov books now take time.

I hope their time in school is covered, I really wanna know what that guy had said when Lucian went and beat him up. Sloane did mention it was to possibly do with her breasts 😂 I need the specifics so I can imagine their childhood to adulthood.

The climbing in the window, the neighbours living next door to reach, hate to love, nerdy girl to the sort of bad boyish man 😆 etc reminded me of Playing for keeps by RL Mathewson. That was such a funny story and their series was around like a small town and the brothers and cousins.

Small town romances with just enough spice 🌶️ and that has precious characters sprinkled in the books is one of the tropes that I absolutely love.

I just started Partners In Crime, but idk when ill finish it🤣
