I mean yaa she is delusional but she never harm anyone. Anupamaa fans 's hate for her is beyond anything, She genuinely loves anuj which maa never did

• Both in love with people who were married. Remember, Anuj was in love with Anupamaa for 26 years while she was still married and dedicated to Vanraj.
• Maaya wants Anuj to marry her while he wants to stay platonic. Anuj wanted to marry Anupamaa when she wanted to stay platonic.
• The reason Anupamaa left Vanraj was because "she couldn't be in the same room with him anymore" and didn't want to consider any options of reconciliation. Ring any bells?? Why should only cheating be the reason you cannot tolerate a person's presence.
• Whatever little Maaya is doing for Anuj right now is Invisible to him. He is thanking her without actually feeling it and is only interested in continuing to meet CA. Anupamaa did this to Anuj for a very long time, just showing gratitude for saving "her real family" before falling for him.
• Anuj had nobody but GK and Mukku, the latter came to and left him as per her liking and Maaya has nobody but Sushma and CA, and CA has all chances to replicate Mukku's behavior. Not exactly parallel but it counts.

So in a way Anuj actually wore Anupamaa down and Maaya is trying to do that with Anuj. But since the show's attempt is to villianize everything that is against MAA's interests, the former was show with romantic "O Anupamaaaaa....." bg song and the latter will have a loud and sinister version of "Sansar Maaya pariwarchitosi..."

This is for keep. I am going to save it for future reference. I have seen shows turning more negative or shady characters into positive characters post leap. 5-8 yrs is a long time, things change, people change, perspective change. They haven’t ruined Maaya enough yet for me to jump the ship. I am hoping post leap (if any) Anuj comes around to see her subtle efforts and appreciate and consider it. That is, if Maaya can keep it subtle till then.

But I dont have much hope. Never seen a show where someone degrading another woman calling her short and that will always remain so just because she aint ‘AnupaMAA’. So I dont know how this ecosystem works. 🤔

Imo, this particular topic is because someone called out Maayas condition of being a prostitute as someone enjoying ONS whereas she was actually r*ped.

There is a difference in bashing Maaya and calling her names based on her past which was not in her control. I agree she is characterless now for eyeing Anuj and expecting to win him when he is at his lowest.
