You're not completely wrong. I watched it on OTT last night, and I was disappointed considering the hype.

I wasn't looking for any realistic story-line, but damn the CGI + unrealistic stunts gave me headache.🤔

I also enjoyed Tiger Series and War way more than Pathaan.

BUT I am still happy for the film because :-

A) The film was apologetically out and out commercial venture.

B) The good things about Pathaan outwteigh its bad parts.

1. The film haulted the unnecessary and ridiculous hate on Social Media for Bollywood.
2. SRK and Deepika finally got their due back, after getting targeted time and again on Social Media.
3. Boycott gang got SLAPPED real hard in their faces..
4. The female lead had an equally important role in the film, unlike problematic portrayals of female leads in recent big films like KGF2 and Pushpa from last year.
5. Deepika's action scenes were on par with SRK and Salman.
   
6. SRK-Deepika's chemistry was top notch. Happy that they didn't cast a 20+ actress for the role.
   
7. Salman -SRK reunion was amazing.
8. Finally we're got a cinematic universe in BW with all big stars. Hopefully, they'll maintain some continuity.
   

Oh I definitely don't watch Tiger or War for the storyline. But Pathaan seemed a bit too farfetched even for being an out and out masala entertainer. I tried hard not to judge it, but man oh man it was tough. Not to mention that most of the actors probably gave their worst performance ever.

I'm happy that the movie destroyed boycott gang and proved that social media hate can't take you down if you don't respond, but honestly I wish a better movie had done that. This movie just didn't have the 1000 crore material in it.

I'm totally with you on #6, #7, and #8. I'm looking forward to the Pathaan vs Tiger movie just for those 3 reasons because right now I have no reason to like Pathaan. Seriously, YRF had such a great opportunity with SRK and DP and John and they just messed it all up. Then add Salman-SRK into the mix and they could have made a masala entertainer that actually was good! This one just kind of went phusssssssss...

I did like the bonding the Khans had. Storyline I just ignored lol. The villian in the movie played by John was the highlight tbh which shocked me.

Salman's cameo was good. And I'm glad it wasn't wasted.

John was so good! I hate to say it but he was actually probably the best out of them all and that's saying something! Reminded me of Dhoom and Race 2 though. He does well in these deadpan villainous roles probably cause he doesn't have to emote much. 😆

It was for sure a pathetic movie.

Indian box-office & audience is so very unpredictable.

If a trash like Patthan can be a hit then a similar trashy absurd movie Ra one should also have been a hit, but no.

Patthan is more like a kids spy video game with sub standard cgis.

Luck luck and only luck made this faaltu film such a big hit, else the same SRK was giving duds after duds in last ten years, if someone thinks he is the reason of its success.

I so wanted to like this. I went in thinking i’ll be watching a Bollywood take on Mission Impossible and boy did I feel like a popat. Instead I got DP skating on ice and an absolute cringefest. I liked the songs/choreo/cinematography and the leads looked great but that’s literally about it.
