Yes, I got them, mainly through postings here (which reflected the controvercy rather well).

So, do you think, Jazz, that it was the controversy that made Pathaan this (quite quickly) successful?

the movie is just a very good crisp action movie with good direction, action, dialogue, actors, witty lines, pretty people and everyone did great in their part, but srk is in the entire movie with the burden falling on him, John was a very charismatic good looking villain (not common in Indian cinema) but for me the scene stealer was Deepika not John, I wanted more of her , more scenes, more dialogue, more romance with srk, and definitely more songs. she drew people in partly (srk and Salman together the other big draw) and then srk carried the movie. I think her background scenes got cut because they weren't with srk, John really didn't have much that wasn't with srk, other than the minuscule wife scene and that too was srk reacting to it. I think some Paris scenes were cut too, probably they were planning a song there( a saiyara type song), when has YRF done a big movie with 2 songs?

The movie probably got too long and they had to choose what to keep and what not to keep. could you imagine this movie with yrf's favorites Anuskha, Katrina or Vaani in deepika's place , the horror of JTHJ yikes or even alia (unimaginable).

srk and deepika on screen are something else, even the mediocre happy new year, their scenes are so cute and funny, and manwa laage the best part.

but the unsung hero really is sidhart Anand, can't believe this guy made tara rum pum pum

for the people who liked John n deepika, i recommend them to watch race2. I find race 2 amazing movie, pathaan is nothing in front of race2. John is a hot villian in race 2 also. To me, deepika is hottest in race2. Deepika has more scenes in race 2 with John n romance with saif. People who wanted more of John n deepika in pathaan, should watch race2. Race 2 was great, a very underrated

All those rom-coms you mentioned were very enjoyable when I watched them. But very superficial. Strictly one-time watch.

I like it when a director explores different genres...until now he has success with action movies...Fighter is the third one he makes...and he has to deliver... we will see how it works.

Until now, Siddhart is the only one having made (storywise, directing) two of the Spy franchise movies, Kabir Khan, Ali Abbas Zafar and now Maneesh Sharma were/are responsible for the Tiger movies.

Until now, Kabir has made two action movies, Ali Abbas also two and Maneesh one (Fan) ,Tiger 3 being his second.

Kabir started his career with 3 YRF produced movies, Ali Abbas with his first 4 produced by YRF, then they moved to other production houses. Maneesh is a constant in YRF all his films produced by YRF.

Siddharth has also started wiith YRF (first 4 films), then came back with War and Pathaan. Fighter again isn't a YRF production.
