Strangely enough, if CA were to return, there may be some hope because Anuj would be busy being a father and not have to feel suffocated living with her without CA as a buffer.

This may come across as extremely insensitive but Anupama brought out the good, the bad and the ugly in these two men.

She has the ability to vilify anyone. Even to the point that a little kid is blamed to be the hurdle in her ‘progressive’ journey to ungodly levels of immorality. She is insecure to the hilt.

Now that I’ve vented lets talk of the glaring difference between Vanraj and Anuj, acche pita I love you on other days but kacche pita just claimed top position.

He was so clear with his feelings, pehle mujhe tumhare bina saas nahi aati thi, ab tumhare sath saas nahi aati…he never once tried to deny why he feels different now, how she pulled him down and brought him to this stage where he cannot bear to see her face…she being the reason his most prized relation isnt with him anymore, his outburst resonated with every ‘human’. He didnt say he hated her, just that he needed the time and space to recover…he didnt once push her or even touch her in a violent way…

Now comes the difference, perhaps Anupama expected him to raise his hand or be physical like her ex to show his anger and frustration. I was gobsmacked when she said cheekiye, chillaye, cheezein todiye, mujhse gussa ho jaayiye par baat kijiye’ …and when he spilled his heart out in the most dignified manner, not once crossing the line of abuse all she has to say is ‘mujhpar vishwas toh nai na?’ I was like seriously? did you not hear even a word he said? does she have a fetish for abuse? sorry again for sounding insensitive but this is exactly how it came across to me.

Vanraj abused her emotionally and still continues to do so. He shamed her for all her shortcomings and yet she holds him and his family in high regard but when it came to Anuj, he only expressed how he felt about being married to her, people were quick in calling him an abuser, like how exactly? what has she given to this relation to expect anything?

She used to be so proud that she was the one who made SH a home back then but now Anuj is saying that the K house doesn't feel like a home but like a cage. It doesn't get clearer than that.

From the day the promo was aired, social media is busy comparing Anuj with Vanraj. Some feminists even declared that there is a Vanraj Shah in every man. I have to admit that for a brief time after watching the promo, I found him like Vanraj. But, the recent episodes proved me wrong.

Yes, Vanraj also was repulsed by MAA's touch. He pushed her away each time she tried to touch him. He felt suffocated living with her. Usko Bhi Ghutan Mehsoos Hota Tha just like Anuj, but he was repulsed and suffocated because he believed her to be inferior to him, and he was ashamed of her. But, Anuj is not repulsed and suffocated because he finds her inferior to him, he feels inferior when he is with her. He knows he is not the AK he used to be, he knows he has been reduced only to her cheerleader after marrying her. He has lost his identity while helping her to carve her identity. Deep down he knows that even he was not a good father to CA. He let his wife's kids and ex-MIL verbally abuse his kid. He did not speak up for fear of hurting his wife. He always prioritized his wife's emotions over the little kid. He is guilt-ridden. Each time he sees her, he remembers how they both treated CA, he realizes where he went wrong, and she reflects his inner demons. So, he was avoiding her. He knew if pushed into a corner he would say some hurtful things to her which his rational self would not allow. He needed to process his grief, his guilt, and his shortcomings, and accept that he also made mistakes. But, she intruded on his vulnerable space. She was piercing his wound that has yet not healed. She made his wound infectious. The outburst was a genuine response to her constant poking at his infected wound. He did not say those words to hurt her as Vanraj did. He told what he felt. He was finding it hard to breathe in her presence. Why would he not when she made sure he would only breath if she permitted? The woman sucked himself from him, then why would he not feel suffocated by her? He stood by Paritosh when he did EMA and stole money, he supported Pakhi when she eloped even though they were wrong only because they were MAA's children. He expected the same of his wife. He knows not letting CA go with MAAya would have been wrong, yet he wanted his wife to support him as he supported her children even when they were wrong. He realized that MAA allowed CA to go with MAAya just because it was the right thing but because she always wanted to get rid of the child. He knows she could not have stopped MAAya, he just wanted her to want to stop MAAya. He is nothing like Vanraj. Vanraj found solace in other women when he got tired of MAA, he found solace in silence but even that was not accepted by his wife. Vanraj's outburst resulted from his ego, his outburst is a trauma response. Both are very different things.

Yesss, please, if this show is badly affecting people's mental health - I too feel like conveying this, even though I don't know how much right I have to advise - do consider taking a break or stop watching. I myself am seriously considering to distance myself a lot more than I'm doing now - it's not worth it in any kind of way
