@bold: Yea… just like a kid. When he turned his head in shock when Meerab asked to go with him to the Gao… it reminded me of my little boys when I suddenly announce that they’re getting a treat or something. They don’t want to express their pure excitement and happiness right away, just in case I change my mind or they heard me wrong 😂 😆 But I can see it… the slight smile that’s trying hard not to burst into an ear to ear grin. That was Murtasim right then. Wahaj did a marvelous job there.
@bold: So true. His life is filled with girls and ladies that can’t take it. With her, it’s different. How fun for him! It’s like he can finally breathe.

Oh I love both your takes of him! 😳
It’s so true, he thinks of Meerab as his true life companion, not just his love interest. She always gives as good as she gets.I loved the swimming pool scene. It was all about him knowing she was being stubborn and importantly, that she can take what’s coming from him.
It is why just before he lets go of her hand his eyes had a mischievous look on them, a mixture of teasing and knowing he is in charge at that moment. He was enjoying watching her fall into the water. He was having fun in a childlike manner which is rare for him. When he let go of her hand, he didn’t out of hatred but just because he wanted to show her that he can be just as stubborn. She expected him to save her and he damn well knew it.
Imagine, he would never dare do anything like that to any other woman not to Haya, and not even to Maryam. But deep down in his heart he knew that Meerab could take it from him.
That is why, when he extended his hand to help her out and she ended up pulling him back into the pool, he low-key admired her for having the guts to do something he never expected. The way he gazed at her walking away from the pool, his eyes had no hate or anger.
It’s why he went through depression at the thought of her leaving him and why he cruelly shouted at her to go when she came to see him in the garden. He was hurt. It wasn’t a break up pain, but losing a close friend pain.
But when he heard from Maryam that she hadn’t abandoned him at the hospital after all and he found out that she truly did want to see him and did care for him, he charged straight to her and grabbed her hand and then when she told him to leave her hand he replied “never”, and protectively told everyone that “Meerab sirf meri hai”.
He has never had anyone in his life like her and he knows it. He knows how precious she is to him, even if she doesn’t.
