Misogynistic statements from actors

This raunchy n guilty pleasure angle, has overshadowed what the show is trying to tell d audience in terms of consent of a wife n how a husband should respect his wife's choice.
To me, it's definitely someone from the team. No 'ardent' fan would make a new page in a show's defence. Also the hashtag has the writer's name as well.
happy Holi 🍻🍻

People are hypocrites yaar i tell you, they want that oscar but they will act like it is beneath them. Karan Johar after Lagaan became a big hit said directors lost their minds and wanted to make Lagaan like movies to win that oscar, but that is when things blew up in their faces because authenticity died.
RRR should be proud of making a truly over the top south film, it doesn't cater to any western sentiments it is just masala thriller with absolutely ridiculous stunts that has only one aim ENTERTAINMENT. So if it wins it is a win for originality and creativity and we should celebrate it. Because being original is not what Indian cinema is known for sadly.
And the grumblings are coming from the sour bollywood bunch, who look down upon south indian films who have stolen their thunder in the last decade.
Originality is something bollywood is not known for and not indian cinema. Malayalam films have been coming up with great original content since it's inception. Tamil films have great original stories for ages. Bengali movies used to make Oscar worthy movies back in the days but don't know how it is now. Not very familiar with kanada and Telugu movies. Movies like bahubali and RRR are not my cup of tea. Never been a fan of over the top action scenes and dialogues. I only watch high end action dramas if an actor i absolutely love is in it like pathaan or war. The problem with bollywood is they are trying to imitate Hollywood only on the glamour part and not with the content. Bollywood cares more about showing off.
Also even with Hollywood a lot of their famous iconic movies are adapted from best selling books and they also copy a lot from french and Asian movies. A lot of the horror movies from the 90s and early 2000s are copied from korean-thai movies. So they don't have that many good writers with original content. Now only superhero movies or James Cameron movies are making big bucks. Reputed directors like Martin scorsese are saying Hollywood nowadays don't have good movies or great actors they only have theme parks like Marvel and DC. All the movies that did well at the box office recently are clean family friendly movies. Hollywood is slowly loosing it's relevance esp with the rise of ott platform which is introducing everyone to world cinema. The only thing that's still making them stay on top is the budget. Give half the budget of any of the Marvel or DC movies to Korean movies they will come up with better original stories with a universal appeal.
Oscar itself is a very shaddy award ceremony. It has always been about the camping and how popular the movie or actor is and they barely cared about poc until recently. The only reason why American award and music shows started catering to Asian and Indian audience is simply for clout and to show they are inclusive. The world is changing and they want to stay relevant. Korea has been creating wonderful films even before parasite and that movie is not even the best work of the director forget Korean film industry. The only advantage parasite had was it had a universal theme of rich and poor and it got the nomination at a time when Korean hallyu wave started to take over the entire world. The Grammy's each year nominates BTS or blackpink (which is not even one of the best vocally capable k-pop groups) and makes them perform just for clout and won't give them any award. They don't care which all k-pop groups can sing or not, they just simply nominate the most popular groups in the west and since technically none of them are that good singers they don't have to give them the award. If RRR wins an Oscar it will mostly because the academy wants to show and prove they are inclusive than because they think it's a good film.
