Okay, first of all... This episode didn't have the drama quotient it actually should have had! Literally everybody's response was so lukewarm -especially the Brars, considering that a major scam has happened to them!
The only appropriate reaction I felt, came from Angad. Shouldn't Manveer or Inder be more enraged for their son? Especially Manveer, since she was the one who was completely involved in this? Daarji and Beeji did express shock, but it wasn't impactful at all! Like what even?
Coming to the Mongas, Himanshi as Sahiba was really good, I personally feel, in expressing guilt while sitting next to Angad, and then the slow determination on her face to reveal the truth as she removed the ghungat, the anger and resentment towards her mother... Himanshi portrayed it beautifully! Ajeet again was very lukewarm, not one but of guilt for such as honest man. Keerat was good in her part - especially when she tracked down Seerat and she escaped, her worry and guilt towards Sahiba was beautifully portrayed. Santosh, the less said, the better.
At first, I thought that the way Sahiba spoke to Angad was horrible, given that it was her family that was responsible for his halaat, but if you think about what Sahiba as a character was feeling at that moment, the agitation, anger, and resentment towards her mother and sister, and everything happening at that moment took a toll on her too, making her lash out at Angad's outburst. She knows that her family (including herself) is in the wrong and is ready to get punished for it. But her anger towards her mother was kind of misdirected to Angad when he spoke out. It is not that she didn't feel guilt towards Angad - she did, which she acknowledged in the previous episode (Banda chahe jaise bhi ho, woh seerat di se bohot pyaar karta hai) and in the beginning of today's episode through her expressions.
Coming to VJ, there was one moment where I just wanted to throw everything away and give him a hug... It was the minute Sahiba said "Bhaag gayi Seerat Di" - that disbelief, anger, and sadness, all together in just that expression of his, for a split second... It shows what an amazing actor VJ is. It really felt like he thought that there were a million reason why Seerat wouldn't have been there, but he never thought even in his wildest dreams that she would run away from him.
Overall, i just wish that the other reactions had been a bit more impactful.
What do you guys think?
Love,
Niya ❤️
