LMAO! This is just an excuse that militants and their apologists gave, to justify his killing.

That his songs were cheap.

Apologists always deny radical angle and possible caste angle.

Militants used to target anyone back then to impose their puritanical agenda, attacked cinema halls, writers, salons, beauty parlours, bars, pubs etc too. In name of destroying those who are spoiling so called culture.

There is none.. and I know everything about Punjabi music really, from my grandparents' generation till now.
