Her first movie was with Rishi Kapoor who was about Aamir’s height. She’s also done a movie with Govinda who isn’t very tall.

It isn’t too late. They can still work together. And these days with camera trickery their height difference would be even less visible.

Aamir is basically an insecure actor.

He never takes actresses who can outshine him. He takes mostly newcomers or ensures he is most dominant part of any film and others are new or character actors or juniors or maybe at par with him but never anyone who may overshadow him.

There is a reason why he never worked with Amitabh earlier nor worked with Hrithik or SRK or Amrish Puri or Ash or Sush etc.

He hardly works with more charismatic stars. He never worked with Vidya Balan or Konkona Sen type powerhouse actresses either.

Earlier Tabu did not work with him due to height difference as she is way taller than him. Now they do not work because Aamir has to be centre of the show no matter what.

It is a different matter that Darsheel, Mona Singh, Rani, Bebo outshone him in TZP, LSC, Talaash. But otherwise an Aamir film is centred around him.

Tabu is too talented to be wasted. Aamir usually likes to work with actresses who he thinks look conventional and less intelligent. He rejected Nandita Das for Lagaan as he felt she looked too intelligent to pass off as a village girl. You think he will work with Tabu?

I am surprised Aamir managed to work with Salman in AAA, Ajay in Ishq, Kajol in Fanaa or Madhuri in Dil. Otherwise he always chooses less famous or less equal names to work with or some newbie or junior or someone from theatre or TV.

Heroines hardly have anything to do in an Aamir film anyway. Tabu would be wasted in an Aamir film the way she was wasted in HSSH, Saathiya, Biwi no.1.

Rishi Kapoor was about 5’8” I think.

OT: Aamir paired up with Tabu’s sister Farha in Jawani Zindabad. But not with Tabu as a conventional pairing.
