Stupid comparisons. Amitabh first took a break and had low phase post political stint. Shehanshah was his comeback movie and a hit and he was main lead there.

In later age he gave hit like Baghban as main lead.

Also it is foolish to compare actors from an era when there was no VFX, no hair transplant, no plastic surgery, no botox, no liposuction or body reshaping surgeries etc., to this era when there are plenty of options to look younger.

Why only Dilip Kumar? Go and claim SRK is ahead of Ashok Kumar, Motilal, actors older than DK era also!

Well said. Finally someone stated it as it is. Dilip saab and Amitabh are like universities of acting and were first ones to focus on body language, language, voice modulation, stylised acting, changing voice and mannerisms as per character.

Their stardom and iconic status stretches for 5 decades or so and across generations and that too in an era without media, social media, professional PR or media managers.

Claiming any Khan, Kumar or Roshan or whatever surpassed DK or AB is a joke. We shall see where any star is at at 80 or if they are relevant or not.

DK is someone who was called Nat Samrat and plenty of actors grew up studying him, his nuances, learnt acting from him. Amitabh and SRK themselves used to cite him as inspiration.

To suggest any Khan surpassed DK or AB Sr is preposterous. Such respect, talent, iconic, cross generational stature and versatility are earned by very rare individuals. This is same as claiming Shreya Ghoshal surpassed Lata ji.

Big B had no VFX, botox, hair transplant or plastic surgeries to make him look young at SRK's age. So stop comparing old generation stars to new generation ones who have lot more options and ways to look young. India did not even have professional trainers, dieticians, nutritionists for stars in Big B's times in 90s. The wellness, fitness, gym industry and all VFX, deaging technology, airbrushing etc have emerged only in last 2 decades.

And Bollywood audience is not like South one where people still accept Rajinikanth types with girls younger than his daughters.

For that matter earlier actresses of 36 years age like DPad also rarely looked as fit as she does or got lead roles as she gets or gave as huge hits as she did.

Comparing facilities and actors from different eras is a joke.

Anyway we shall see where SRK or any Khan is at 80 and if they remain relevant as Big B still is. Or if they manage even one successful TV show or solid acting performances as Black, Paa, Pink, Jhund, Sarkar as Big B did later and won more National awards at old age than what he did in his youth. Or if they get to protect own personality rights and copyright their voices and get paid a bomb for their voice alone the way Amazon pays Big B for his voice.

And we shall see if any Khan can give a top grosser like Dilip Kumar saab did in Saudagar at old age with WHITE hair and actually playing an old man wrapped in shawl and kurta, playing a grandpa.

There is no actor in Indian cinema who gave hits playing a grandpa the way DK and AB sr did. Talk is cheap.

SRK or other Khan fans should humble down and learn to praise his success without overhyping him and trying to bring down senior, more iconic legends.

SRK will also be a legend one day and he is iconic but it is premature to claim he surpassed DK and AB sr or speak of him in same category as these seniors. SRK will get there someday. But he is not comparable to them yet or even to Rajinikanth who gave a top grosser like Robot at 60 plus or so. Rajinikanth too uses wigs, deaging technology and VFX body doubles to seem young and do action scenes.

All this ranting is your own personal opinion but giving such a monstrous hit after the age of 57 as a Hindi male lead is a documented fact. I don’t remember any other Hindi star doing that…

Srk is already up there with big b and dilip saab when comes to being a legend and tbh already past them when it comes to being BW star who is popular world wide.
