Honestly i think shows of 90s and early 2000s had more women empowerment than shows in last 10 years better to watch old shows than current ones
I mean after tulsi virani forgave husband for bewafai and accepted karan virani as son same story being copied in every show that wife forgive wandering husband and his ema child
I think 1970s movies had more women empowerment in them than the current stories of ITV
Atleast heroines then were bold enough to question patriarchy and women were not judged for dressing modern or working etc (i mean heroine like rekha, praveen babi, zeenat aman etc defined independent bold women)
I saw an old movie not sure which but in that heroine walks off with kid from hubby house because he cheats her and she come to know and starts working and this is 1970s movie
Even an old 16th century movie like mughal e azam also had a woman questioning an emperor on whose he to decide whom he loves or what she does although it was highly patriarchal world than. This at cost of losing her life immediately if she questions such a powerful man.
In 2022 here we have serials with women crying and sobbing when hubby cheats and no braveness to still leave that cheater and just bear his torture silently
Is vanraj an emperor or what than anupama is cowering and trying to please him and his parents so much after cheating and divorce?
And this anupama hides all cheating and crimes of her hubby and kids saying its family. Learn something from tulsi she shot her son ansh virani dead.
All the right women achieved after so many century of struggles goes down drain thanks to women like anupama and kinjal and kavya and barkha
These women are acting more 10th century or 16th century women than 2022 women
How are all these woman taking cheating from husbands so casually and still meeting and staying with them
