Ehsan and Viaan

Ok, since Ehsan is given most of the screen time so let's talk about him first.

Ehsan - What's wrong with him. I used to like him a lot to the point where I started shipping him with Katha and now look at him. I don't have any problem with negative characters but atleast they should be convincing regarding their motives. Ehsan is plotting against his childhood best friend just for a woman whom he met about 3 months ago😵 where's the logic? His colleagues are literally shipping him with Viaan. They even kinda had codependent like relationship initially and it was Ehsan who understood Viaan like no one else. Then suddenly a woman comes and that bond is broken just like that

Moreover, Ehsan is a mature businessman who must be in early 30s? Why is he behaving like a teenager? Katha clearly said no to him still the guy doesn't want to understand anything? WTF!!

Viaan - I don't like his character. I mean he's weird. And him dancing and talking very friendly with everyone at the party was completely out of character. Although I like his bond with Arav. That's the only good thing in this show at this point.

All in all, the show was good initially but now they've started typical ITV drama and they're butchering characters for the sake of logicless stuff.

I also wanted to write about the same two characters, and I hope you don't mind me using this space, my friend, Jugnu😳

OK, my amateur analysis, here we go. Let us talk about why Ehsan is so insecure of Viaan. The show didn't explicitly say this, but I am assuming by nature of implication that their partnership is so far complementary. Viaan is the brain and sweat behind the business with sound technical knowledge. He is the work horse of the company. But, being an introvert or by personality, he would hide behind stoicism, brusque demeanor and generally lacked people skills. Whatever decisions or work he had accomplished came out as collective effort by both Viaan and Ehsan, as Ehsan served as a mouthpiece for Viaan.

Ehsan has great people skills, laid back, talkative, approachable, with an easy smile. He probably portrayed Viaan, probably unintentionally as a guy who is on the altar, unapproachable, rigid, stern and uptight person. Of course, Viaan didn't contest this, as either he didn't know how he is being perceived as such or it suited him alright. He would rather do the work and let Ehsan do all the schmoozing or smoothening rough edges. So far, so good. Ehsan is that interface through which people communicated with Viaan and the management of the company. So, Ehsan felt that he had a solid role in the company as a communicator while Viaan did all the background work👍🏼. Ehsan's weaknesses ( either lack of technical expertise or astuteness or clarity ) were covered up effectively till now.

Now, Viaan is slowly coming out of his shell, talking on his own behalf, announcing his decisions and policies without using Ehsan as his mouthpiece. So, all of a sudden, Ehsan's role as that interface vanished. Viaan can work AND communicate too👍🏼. So, now Ehsan's role will be reduced to somebody whose money is in the firm, he doesn't automatically get included as the brain behind whatever policies or decisions that are made on behalf of the firm. He becomes someone who is reaping the benefits of his stronger partner because of his partnership. I may be very unfair in how I am looking at Ehsan and his typical transition to your quintessential vamp.

Just like a typical vamp he will fall on his face, the more he tries to defame Viaan. Like, he put Katha in-charge of an inebriated Viaan, in the car. What happened? She got to learn his sincerest apology and his deeper angst about the blunder he committed

I don't know why otherwise, all of a sudden he would look at his bachpan ka dost as his arch nemesis and tries to degrade him. He is making off the cuff remarks on him, such as excess alcohol use and other things, in the guise of being a jokester. He probably also feels that there may be some deeper connection between Viaan and Katha, who is his current object of affection. Because, he knows that once Viaan Raghuvanshi's worth as a professional comes out, Ehsan doesn't stand a chance. So, he is degrading him at a humanistic, personal level. This is my take on Ehsan's behavior- jealous, sly and back stabbing🤢

Nice thing is that Viaan is not keeping quiet and giving in to misunderstandings, he is standing up for himself and questioning Ehsan for all the off beat comments. Not sure how many felt this way, but Viaan's dance was hilarious, bilkul bandar jaisa. I am not a dance police, but I felt there was not much grace in it, just a joyous liberation🤣with flailing limbs😃

Not sure what Ehsan and his mom see in Katha, to the point that they are going to the extent of talking about break up of the company. Ek technically solid architect se, business bann jata hain, is news to me😲they are foolish if they don't acknowledge team work of Earthcon for their success, not one Dubai heritage project and certainly not one architect Or are the writers feeding us more on Katha is next to Frank Lloyd Wright ?

Lastly, what is godh ke laddoo?😲 The girl next to Katha at the party in green looked really pretty, is it Jenny? Just my random thoughts.

I would have agreed with your analysis except for the fact that it was Viaan who dealt with Abdali. All communications and negotiations were done by him. I don't feel that Ehsan has contributed much to the company. All decisions have always been taken by Viaan. Even if Ehsan may come across as the more likeable one, I have always felt that Earth Con staff admired Viaan. Why would that lady make an indecent proposal to Viaan and not to Ehsan?

I agree with Jugnu. They have started the typical ITV drama. I had no issue with Ehsan going grey. I expected it, and Samar would have done a fab job. I think that the writers changed direction about the Ehsan track when they made Rewa go away. They make the audience love the Ehsan-Viaan bond, and now all of a sudden, Ehsan is spiking Viaan's drink? There is so much malice involved in that act. Even worse, Viaan suspects this but does not think much about it. For Viaan, Ehsan has a crush on Katha and is doing everything to get her attention.

Well, I have made my peace with Ehsan turning completely negative. At least, I am now prepared for anything. Let them get the Kaviaan ship moving. It's been stuck at the port for ages.

I totally agree with you regarding Ehsan and Viaan. We have had enough discussions about Ehsan's sudden behavioral change. Now most of us have accepted him as the villain of our show.😃 koi bhi story mei Villain toh honi chahiye,otherwise story bahut boring hojayegi.😆

You were right about Ehsan and his mom's perception about Katha. Ek technically sound architect can bring business also.😆 Katha sunegi toh ushko bhi chakkar aajayegi.😆

I hv little knowledge about gondh ki ladoo. Mostly North Indians prepare this ladoos in winter. It's a healthy ladoo which keeps your body warm. I hv no idea whether pregnant women are allowed to have it.

Coming to ehsan-viaan equation we have discussed tremendously as to what it was that went wrong for their friendship to come to this stage.. Actually their base of friendship was weak from the beginning... Maybe it's like both the family are close so automatically these two stuck to each other too...

Both knew each other inside out and so they know to what length the other one will go in any given situation.. That's why I think viaan is not surprised with ehsan's kartoote and ehsan also has sharp observation on katha viaan equation.. He was saying na to katha that viaan usse sar jhukake baat karta hai.. So he knew both had a past so getting more and more hyper...maybe he never thought it to go so far as ons but something is not right is his intuition.

Kal bhi jab viaan katha ke cabin mein tha.. Ehsan literally ran in to check what the two were talking about😅.. He is very insecure right now both professionally and personally so running like a headless chicken... And his actions are also becoming too ruthless...

Hi Mili. I agree with you regarding Ehsan but their execution is very poor. He's looking like a typical ITV vamp. Spiking drinks and all are just........ His insecurities could have been portrayed subtlety. And why is he so obsessed with Katha? As if he has never been attracted to any woman before or he has never seen any talented architect before!!! When Katha said no, be should have understood. It doesn't suit the character.

Ehsan is obsessed with katha because he loves keemti/precious things, and Katha is the most precious thing at EarthCon as of now. This is in Viaan's words

And he wants to win Katha over Viaan, as he is aware somewhere Viaan is also in line for a competition with him.

So basically Katha is that trophy for him to show off.

@Bold: Viaan was the real boss, who ran the company and Ehsan was the cool one. But if we see very first episode, Viaan is the problem solver and Abdali wanted to talk to him only. Ehsan neither played a role in making decisions, nor in solving problems, nor in communicating to clients. He was the one roaming around the office, cracking jokes and making it look lighter with a hard task master Viaan in the office.

OFC, he was approachable to staff.

I would say, these two friends are extreme ends, and this maybe first time Ehsan is doing such cheap tricks with Viaan. Katha was the catalyst that triggered Ehsan's insecurities. He will fall further low, but the real twist will be when Viaan proposes to Katha and she accepts it. That will be the final blow to him
