Yes! I would have preferred something like this for her hairstyle!! Even DP went with chipku bun and I didn’t like it that time as well, others are not visibly tight and chipku buns.

He should know a mang tikka traditionally means a married woman. Most brides are required to have that. So whatever necklace sets he creates. They should have an optional matching mang tikka.

I know a lot of brides that went to India to do bridal shopping. They booked appointments with MM. As someone else mentioned they found all his stuff too gaudy. They took some of his things for the haldi or mehndi ceremonies. But rimple&harpreet or sabyasachi leads for bridal attire. They have the jewelry made almost perfectly for a bridal ceremony too.

I think emeralds in her necklace, earrings and bangles complimented the light pink outfit. But emeralds in her mang tikka might have stood out like a sore thumb because it would be on her mang, her face.

I really liked most of her jewelry and they way they worked with her whole outfit, except for the earrings. I loved her veil or dubatta. I actually loved the magenta border around it. I just really really wish the color of her lehnga and top was a little darker and livelier.

I think maybe because of the dupatta a lot of brides go with the bun. It’s mostly covered anyway and no one will see the hair 🤷🏽‍♀️.

But most shops have diamond mang tikkas with green emeralds. It is not necessarily everything that had to be Manish Malhotra. The jewelry should look like one set. Most parents instruct a jeweler to do a custom-made set with a mang tikka for their daughters as a shagun. They custom-make it to match the outfit obviously. But all the pieces of the set should match with each other. That is more important than a it being made by one designer.

Lol the color of the lengha was one of the things I liked.

Oh well, they are a gorgeous couple. So happy for them !
