But still his affairs etc. Were before marriage. So he didn't cheat his wife, its still a small respite.

And what other men did was equally wrong no matter they have illegitimate child or not but yes, extra kapadias have always subjected to sautela treatment.

Lagta hai kapadia ji ka tool bhi unke dimaag ki Tarah useless hai. Tabhi koi ladki maa nahi bani.

I know that everything is drama and has nothing to do with reality.

But hearing the word EMA on daily basis and now illegitimate child, one ques that hits me most of the time --- suppose a woman comes with pappu or pinky and of course probability is high in this case.. and says that he/she is Anuj's child.. that child will be illegitimate or legitimitate bcoz woh toh shaadi se pehle ki baat thi.. Anuj uska father hoga nahi hoga, that child would be Anuj's responsibility or not. Will anupama accept that child wholeheartedly and half business uske naam kar degi.. leave anupama.. she is mahan.. kya koi wife accept kar legi

ya unke beech mei pyaar nahi tha.. that was ONS with the consent of both. so child se uska kuch lena dena nahi hai.

If you see old movies or serials, the emotions, and circumstances of each person ( right or wrong) were presented so beautifully that we felt sympathy for them.. we never hated any character .. remember film Masoom., serial hasratein...

Seriously, woh simplicity, innocence, dekhne ko milegi kya kabhi.

This is the only serial where we are not able to love any character... 😆😆

If any pappu pinky pops out of nowhere claiming anuj as his/her papa due to his ONS. Then by every definition of law it will be illegitimate child. A child is illegitimate if born out of wedlock. If couple who is supposed to get married have a child then it will only be called illegitimate because the parents dont have any formally or legally accepted relationship between them yet.

So if anuj had such illegitimate child then he would have been held responsible for it 101% . He could not just enjoyed free pass saying that he had no knowledge about him or the sex with child's mom was with consent so now he can't be held responsible. By law also such child deserves a share in father's property.

About anupama accepting the child is completely dependent on her. She is mahaan she could accept or has full right to say no. But that does not absolve anuj of child' s responsibility.

In most cases it depends on current wife's nature or thinking that she will accept the illegitimate child or not. The factor that how that illegitimate child born also plays important role as in whether father had it through EMA (cheating his legally wedded wife) in that case most of the women will never accept child.

Or it may happen before man's wedding. In that case its important whether husband of aware of child's existence and he he hid the fact from his wife, if yes then again, its a kind of cheating and wife is totally right if she doesn't want to accept the illegitimate child.

Then comes the scenario which could have been possible in anuj's case. That he had illegitimate child before his marriage to anupama due to his ONS and he had no knowledge about it. In this case atleast he is not guilty of cheating his wife which is most despicable thing one could do. If he comes out in open, taking full responsibility of his mistake then atleast he would be a genuine person. In this case also it would completely depend on anupama whether she is comfortable in accepting that child or not. If she is understanding and forgiving wife then considering the fact that anuj has accepted her with her past, her ex, her ex in laws and three grown up kids then she might also accept anuj's child. But even if she is not comfortable then she can't be blamed about it.

Now coming to movies, the film masoom was clear case of husband cheating on his wife and having illegitimate child and even if he didn't know about the child that doesn't absolve him of cheating charges. His attitude was pathetic, he almost forced that child on his wife. But at the end wife decides to forgive her husband for cheating and accepts the child also.

In hasratein, i dont remember much now but i guess the fl had ema with her boss and her husband divorces her for that. Later she gets married to her boss and then have daughter. So here, ex husband doesn't have much say. And even boss's ex wife doesn't have much say. She spends her life as jealous vengeful ex wife but at the end forgives lead pair and moves on.

Here ankush bhaiya clearly cheated barkha bhabhi and hence cant expect her to not make big deal out of it. Again its debatable that he wanted to get free of the marriage but barkha was not agreeing. This is another kind of injustice. Both of them are at fault in this.

And vanraj is not only guilty of ema but he was abuser anyways. So there is no defence for him.

But a character like anuj definitely deserve a chance to be listened, to explain himself and then it depends on anupama whether she would accept his child or not. No matter what anupama decides, the child will have right on anuj's property legally.

So it depends on every case, every couple what suits them or what decision they will take. But I hope I clarified my point regarding whats problematic here. People judging all characters for same deed without reflecting on the uniqueness of their case or character arc or the circumstances is what irritates me.

Sorry for the long essay, not even watching the show or reading updates now. Just came here for old time sake and couldn't resist to reply on your post. I dont wish to argue with anyone. I have spent some good time here when the show was good. But now it has gone to hell hole and its not returning so there is no point of arguing for such pathetic show. I guess because of the show's pathetic tracks and also in general people have gone into trolling frenzy. Its happens with everyone. Thats why I leave the show before it gets too toxic.

And i agree on the point that no character is this show is worth loving unconditionally or throughout the lenght of show. I used to love anuj even like anupama during seperation/divorce and MaAn's intial phase but look now what have they done to these characters. I myself have trolled them on several occasions and we tend to say a lot in a flow sometimes but I dont like use of crass language and blind hating for character and definitely not for actors. They are just doing what producers asked them. they dont have that much say in itv show's story and they dont give a damn about it also. While we all are busy trolling rupali she is happily buying new Mercedes with her money which she got from show.

If we want to change anything then we can show our displeasure where it will really have some affect. We can stop watching the show and decrease trps but again we are not trp giving people so we cant complaint also. Who are trps givers are still enjoying this toxic show. So let it be. Apna khoon jala ke luch nahi hoga. When show and environment on social media gets toxic its better to leave in peace.
